New to domain names, where to start?

Hey guys and gals, first off i have read alot on Np to get me started, including a thread titled "starting with $2" and have found alot of useful information.

I bought a domain name today dynamicdesign.pro which i wanted to use for a portfolio i am working on, just using the Wix platform, however upon restringing the name i seen dynamicdesign.com is worth alot of money, does this mean the .pro extension maybe worth a bit too, or is it mainly down to extension?

Is dynamicdesign only valuable to the person who owns said company?

Sorry to be a pain and all but was hoping someone could answer my questions.

Yeah i know, was just being lazy as it was just a filler whilst i work on an "actual" website so i have something in place.

There is really no relationship B/T .com and anything else...If you are lucky, maybe 1%

It's really easy to install a CMS if you choose a host that includes a free version of Softaculous. If I remember correctly there are a couple specifically made for designers.
