Hey Metro,
I did my best trying to dig around for information on this domain... 0 trends, 0 HK OVT, and I think 0 Baidu Searches.
I'm not sure if the domain is brandable, but I wouldn't assume it'd get traffic. I don't even know if this is in simplified or traditional, so please, don't take what I say as fact... lol. I've stayed away from Chinese IDNs because I couldn't find an effective way at finding traffic domains.
it is simplified chinese, the traditional chinese version one is taken>.<
it is pronounced "Pao Tao" (pin yin: bao dao)
imo, the simplified one shud have been able to gain more traffic than the traditional ones but apparently, the japanese can read this word too (報到, the traditional version) in almost same exact meaning, so guess the traditional version could get traffic from taiwan and japan and from chinese that still remember how to write traditional ones. While the simplified version shud be able to get traffic from mainly china....
yea. the traffic is kinda bad in sedo, but guess it is because I just parked it for awhile. seems like the only sure way to monetize the IDN domain is to resell it>.<

btw, baidu searches = baidu.com?
I put the 报到 into baidu searches and it gets 19,000,000 results
if I put "报到.com" there it gets 8,000,000+ results
if I put "inurl:报到.com" there, it generate 1400+ results
dunno if it is good or bad
about HK OVT I dont know how to check it....hmmm
need the URL actually
any info about this HK OVT is great.
@FKA
found the HK overture link
hmm, I think the reason there is 0 ovt HK is because you put both 报到 word into the HK Ovt.....
报到 a word that consists of another 2 words 报 and 到
so if they are combined they make another word, but alone, they each has its own meaning
if I put 报到 the result is 0
if I put 报 the result is 50+
if I put 到 the result is 1300+
not sure if it will helps
it's kinda like "check in" word, check has its own meaning, in has its own meaning, but nah not sure about OVT HK
another reason is may be because HK people doesnt search "register" or "check in"(in simplified chinese) too much I guess. may be everytime they search for "register" they will just put the english "register" into search engine except of simplified chinese "register" since HK people can speak english pretty well too:D
honestly, this is my first time using OVT HK, so I can be wrong too:D.
