I've been looking around for "Green" Hosts and I stumbled upon this host: hostatree.com.

Seems great when looking at it, but I was wondering if anyone had experience or know anyone hosted there.

I know it's fairly new, but I don't want to be the first to join and then regret it later.

But speaking of Green Hosts, does anyone know any out there that have a good rep?

I haven't taken the time to look, but what exactly do they do to earn the title "green host?" I'll admit that I am personally highly suspicious of truly green hosting companies because most just buy these mysterious "carbon credits" and then say that they are green. There's never really indication of how much these credits cost nor what they actually do. It's just something to think about, but I do understand and applaud the search for a more environmentally-friendly hosting company. The technology is really starting to move forward to allow for less power consumption and that's definitely a positive thing.

I assume that for you as for the end user that is very important to have stable web host. And it doesn't matter if that one is green or not

Their website does not even have a <title></title>

I think that the search is the best friend of you. Also never hesitate to ask about test account. If you have test account with your web host that will give you the best imagination
