Best Shared Host?

I have been looking for a place to get a good deal on a web host. I search google and find lists with like the best hosts, but are they really the best or does the host company run or pay for those spots? Does anyone know where I can host unlimited domains and mysqls for a good deal? I need the best price we can get.

Those lists are normally paid for through affiliate commissions. In other words the person who has the site is recommending them normally based on the money they will make off your purchase of hosting from that provider when you click on the link they provide.

The best way to choose your host is to do some research on them at various websites such as webhostingtalk, Namepros and a few others where they talk on this subject and many people post their reviews of various hosts when requested.

Remember though that all hosts will receive a bad review from time to time. Unfortunately most posts you will see are normally about bad experiences and it is not to often you see anyone start a post to rave about a host.

What you did was a good idea asking for recommendations on hosting. Once you have a few recommendations do yourself a favor and test their support system to see how fast they respond to questions not only through their phone system, but their e-mails as well. This is a good sign on the response and help you will receive later when you have issues and questions.

You may host unlimited domains with the host I'm using ahosting.biz. I think the best thing is to for a reseller account that will enable you to host and manage multiple domains at a low cost.

I think that if you find web host through word of mouth - you are in luck and you have good deal. TOPs as rule are paid. That is budget comparision IMO

Among these, hostgator has got the best support, so I would personally recommend them. If you have a reasonable budget and wont need too much disk space, you can checkout some of the better hosts that doesnt oversell. Hosts like liquidweb are pretty good, if you dont mind paying a bit extra.

There is no best host, only the host that is best for you. I would suggest look inward first, ascertain what you really need, there is really no such thing as unlimited, once you have ascertain your requirements, look out for the hosting companies that meet your requirements.

From there short list those that you find suitable, google some info on these hosting companies, the good and bad reviews. Short list a few and call them up to check hows their sales and support and finally choose the one that is best for you.
