Hi all. I recently started a blog chronicling my journey as a domainer, and I was wondering if you could take a look at it and let me know what you think. All articles are original, written by me.

I'm interested in your opinions on both the blog's appearance and content. I do appreciate your time and thoughts.

I know there are a lot of much more experienced domainers than myself, but I'm hoping that others can learn from my mistakes and successes as I learn and grow.

The URL is http://www.DomainerPro.com/

Cool - I like your article on how you purchased DomainerPro.com
It provides some insight into the selling/buying process, and what a potential buyer might be thinking.

looks good, good luck with it, nice publicity to the domains you didn't choose DomainingEdge being mine, if nobody else grabs it soon I may do the same with it as I have been thinking of doing a domain blog for over a year now.

Love it :) That's a very nice site you have there. Good layout and great articles, it's bookmarked in my browser!

Thank you all for your positive input. I appreciate it. I plan to post on the blog at least two or three times a week. I'm also building a page called Domaining Resources that will be the definitive list of domaining resources by the time I'm done.

Looking forward to adding another domaining blog to my google reader. Articles seem a little long, but if you offer quality content, I'd be willing to read through the longer ones (summaries ARE always nice though :) )

Good luck!

Wael, use the more tag for your front page posts - you don't need to display full articles on your front page. This way Google will love your blog as well SEO wise.

Show a initial paragraph and then place the more tag <!--more--> - type that to end your paragraph.
This way only full articles will be displayed on your individual post pages preventing letting Google decide which version is best because of the duplcate content within your own blog.

Also change your permalink structure - go to --> Options then --> Permalinks and then check the radio button for Custom and enter:

/%postname%/

...in the entry field for custom structure.

I also noticed the non-www version doesn't redirect to the www version of your domain.
You should really fix this, easily done with Justin's

redirect plugin which again helps your blog SEO wise tremendously.

I hope DomainerPro.com has a longer shelf life then DailyDomainer.com ;)

All the best man!

Damion, thanks for the great advice, rep added. I will work on making those changes tonight.

I was wondering about the Daily Domainer. I thought perhaps he had gone to a subscriber only format or something.

Damion, I've implemented all the changes you suggested, and now I'm enacting them across all my blogs. Thanks again for that.

I've come up with some other extremely useful wordpress plugins and I'll put together a list. Several come from Alex King's site at http://alexking.org/projects/wordpress

So I've been publishing this blog - DomainerPro.com - for two months now, after buying the domain here on NamePros. I've managed to get the traffic up to 100 visitors per day and 700+ back links, with no advertising budget. I've worked hard to leave relevant comments on other domaining blogs and I've been submitting my posts to various social media sites.

I've never really attempted to publicize a blog in this way before, and I'm pleased at how effective its been. But the revenue has been disappointing. Apparently domainers are loathe to click on ads. The Adsense pay per click is pretty good, but the CTR is abysmal. I tried Kontera ads and that was even worse, plus the ads are totally irrelevant content wise.

I'm planning to begin listing my domains for sale there. We'll see how that works out.

Anyway, just wanted to share my experience.
