Unstoppable Domains

New Domain Finding Tool...

I'm putting the finishing touches on a new domain finding tool that I've been working on.

The Domain Name Browser

What's it do you ask?

It allows you to conveniently and quickly browse over 150,000 dictionary words, all 3 letter combinations, and over 1,500 celebrity names... with 7 extensions to choose from - millions of domain combinations!

For each name it shows the availability of the name, allows you to check the google pagerank, the OVT stats and whois if the name has already been registered.

I'm releasing it as a free resource... I hope you find it useful!

Enjoy...

Quick suggestion

Incredible tool, thanks for the great service :)

Quick suggestion: If you could make a small pulldown menu for choosing the amount of domains to view per page, that would probably help a lot of people (especially those searching for 3 letter domains, for example, since most would be registered).

Also, another great tool you could add is a "filter" tool, where you can choose to filter and view only results for domains that meet certain criteria (e.g. "Unregistered, containing keyphrase "XX", starting with phrase "YY", ending with phrase "ZZ") - I think if you have those features, your tool could really become huge, as I don't see why ANY domain name seeker wouldn't want to use it :)

Great job again!

Adi.

For your profitability, I'd add some form of advertising to the site.

<Edit: Didn't notice - You already have a feature where the domain could be registered via a link through your site, that's a good feature :) >

Browsing around I found a couple of cool domains, maybe someone wants them:

Saintdom.com
Sainting.com

Pretty catchy :)

Adi.

A filter technique would be very nice :)

Thanks for the feedback so far guys.

As far as the filtering is concerned... it would be very easy for me to add the search filter... so you could specify: begins with, ends with or contains 'whatever'...

But as far as the filtering of available domains is concerned... that wouldn't really be feasible. Why?... Because all the results are pulled from the whois servers real time (not cached like whois.sc)... so in order to query and list only available domains it would have to scan 10's of thousands of names each time the script is run... which would kill my server.

If anyone has any other monetization ideas... i'd be interested in hearing them.

Thanks again... glad to see a positive response so far.

First off, awesome tool. I'll be linking to it on a couple other forums.

I was wondering if you could make it so on the results page, the pulldown menus were the same as what you searched for, that way you only had to change on factor, let's say the extension, instead of having to reselect everything again or hit the back button.

As far as monetizing...maybe some interlaced adsense in the results?

Again, thanks for sharing!

Add an archive.org link to look at previous history. I think that would be it besides the availibility thing. Would be nice if it had an availibility thing :)

monetization.... hm. where is always 3 ways to go.
1. user have to pay.
2. advertiser have to pay.
3. bouth have to pay.
you choose which way you prefere to go.

I'd appreciate it a lot...

I'll be adding copy and paste html for links to the site on the support page soon. In the meantime, if you have a domain related site and would like to link to dnbrowser.com... by all means, please do so.

I built the site for people to use... please tell anyone and everyone you'd like about it.

AZT... I love your idea...

I will be updating the site very soon with some of the ideas put forth by you guys... please keep them coming!

Here are a couple of my own ideas that i'll be adding soon:
- A browser for all nnnn domains.
- User accounts so users can submit new celebrity names to help keep it updated with new famous faces etc.

Thanks again guys.

I'm sure this is just a matter of whois not updating instantly with the whois server I'm using for .coms... I'll keep an eye on it to see how long it takes to show as reg'd.
