New at DNJournal: No Filet Mignon But Heaps of Hearty Domain Sales This Week

The weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. We didn't see the six figure sales we saw in the opening week of the New Year but there were an enormous number of very solid mid-range sales this time out. All but one of the domains on our new Top 20 Chart hit five figures and the action was much stronger on our Global Contenders and Country Code charts this week than it was a week ago.

The highest .US sale ever reported gave the American ccTLD the top spot on the Country Code chart in just it's second week of competiton against the big boys. Read all about it through the link below:

Thanks Ron - great work! :) I've often wondered if the lack of good names being available makes the market seem weaker than it really is. Right now, you can't buy good names for love nor money. Supply is not meeting demand.

I know many sales don't get reported - I did three $xx,xxx deals this week. Wouldn't it be great to know what goes on behind the scenes in this industry?

Good to see a .us topping the country code chart, and by a large margin at that!

Congrats! Would love to see all sales of this sort reported, of course. Albeit an almost impossibility due to NDA's and similar. But of course, with domains like "gadget.com", "everybody.com" and "wealth.org" in your signature, we can say with a great deal of certainty that you'll continue to see sales of this level B-) .

Great writing as usual, Duke! jew.us for 5 figures will always be filet mignon to me ;)

I think there are alot of sellers around at the moment, when supply falls prices rise and that brings out more sellers, I think that is what is happening at the moment.

I agree, sellers are selling out while the sun still shines.

The sky is falling!! Or at least it's been slowly progressing in a downward fashion for the several years that mole has been around.

There don't seem to be many premium names for sale at all, especially none that are 'affordable'.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'affordable', but sales volumes seem to be high at the moment, I think the rising prices are bringing out alot of sellers
