I need some help from NP'rs as I am pretty unfamiliar with .net names.

I found a retail product .net with 9900 US local searches (exact) and $2.14 CPC and around 900,000 Google results (no quotes).

The .com is forwarded to a branded retail outlet as are other related keyword .coms.

The product itself retails between $25 and $100 with LOTS of brands/manufacturers.

If this was .com I would be all over it, but are these good enough numbers to reg the .net and its singular counterpart with roughly half the stats?

These are available for hand regs.

Please advise.

For reg fee you might aswell if theres not much other competition, set up a site with eBay or Amazon ads and you could be onto a gem.

I decided to reg it. Thanks for your post. Do you have a specific criteria you use for regging .nets?

Congrats on finding a gem :)

I think give proper Search Engines optimization, you can even top the rankings surpassing the .com site. With that, I think you will have a very profitable site for sure =D

UnderwireBras dot net.
CleavageBra dot net.

Both were $3.99 regs using Netfirms "dollardomain" coupon code.

I don't want to develop them I want to sell them to an enduser. Development for me is a last resort.

Now that I told you the name...you tell me in your case what specific metrics does a .net have to achieve in order for you to reg it.

Use a specific example if you can.

Now there are other "bra" related keywords in the .net extension that are available with exact searches in the 2k-4k range and CPC around a dollar. Are those .nets worth regging? Why or why not?

Is it really a gem? Even in dot net?

Of course! In fact, most of my top ranking keywords domains are .net, followed by .org. I never have a chance to register .com keyword domain name so I just went ahead with the .net and .org and develop for revenue.

Bra.net sold for $7400 in Oct, 2009 so you can start working your way down from there.

It's not in the same league as that surely.

It's plural and has a lengthy keyword in front of it, not to mention not having anywhere near the search stats.

I started an appraisal thread I'd appreciate some feedback there as well.

The main question still hasn't been answered however...What specifically would get you to register a .net?
