Negative Bodis Revenue

Well, I had X amount of dollars in my bodis account. I checked this morning and its less then it was the other day.

I dont know what happened, but I'm 99.9% sure I'm correct.

I will keep a daily report from now on and keep track of my revenue. If I'm right and it happens again, bye bye bodis :)

Watch your money people!

No.

You have selected last 31 days by default. This confused a few people already. Select a date range from July to September 16th to see all your revenue since the beginning.

I am not sure how you guys want it to make it less confusing. To show the revenue for each month or for the last 31 days. Both are actually confusing.

LOL,

I vote for each month. :)

Matt, my suggestion would be that you set the default to the current months earnings.

Thanks, I know this already. Just wanted to get the word out for everyone :p

Seriously though, the other day I had x amount and today it was shy by a couple bucks. Pocket change, no biggie.

So yes, either way is confusing I agree. But I was talking about full report earnings and I'm not positive on exact numbers and I'm not a high earner by any means.

That said, I have been very happy as I made more in my first week with bodis then the past year at other companies :)

I'd actually like to see the default set to last update.

A side note: I check my stats daily from each of the parking services. The other day I checked one of my names that I've been watching and I got a real jolt. Someone distracted me as I was navigating to the page and I scrolled down to the name without first setting the form to last update. When I noticed my domain made 30 times what It should have I about fell off my chair. I quickly realized the mistake, but I figured I'd share the story. Its just a lighthearted reminder that you should always qualify your statistics before assuming something is wrong.

Right. Last update sounds fine. But once again, we will have people coming in saying they have revenue disappeared when they see the first day that it was like $15.53 and then the next day $15.25.

I think it is best to set it for the current month, and a bold text that says Revenue Shown for (Month).

The domain earnings are never adjusted and are locked in a special database that cannot be altered or deleted, therefore (unless noted ahead of time), there will never be an instance where the revenue is changed.

There is another way and that is to show the earnings from the very start start of when you opened your account (July 24th in my case). From there peaple choose 7days, current month, last month, last 31 days, etc. I personally would go for this method (not sure if it's viable), but whatever you decide, I'll go along with the majority!.

Personally I'd like to see last update renamed to "Yesterday".

Otherwise the things I like are last 7 days, month to date, last month, last 3 months, last 6 months, last 12 months and year to date.

I also would like to see selection option for daily dates revenue for the current month. :) (without setting the dates from the calendar selection)

Matt.

Default should be current month, for sure.

Options for yesterday, last 7 days, last 30/31 days, last 90 days, last month, last 3 months, This year to date , Last Year (Jan-Dec).

I'd also like to see a daily revenue report. So I can simply see the total revenue per day for the specified period.

An *Estimate each hour would be nice also.
It sux to have to wait 1 day to see if your optimization works or not.

I' sure that eventually Matt will get around to adding that as well.

Default should be current month to avoid confusion.

If they want to know the revenue since last update, then they will need to "consciously" select "last update". Then when they see less $$, they will know it's because today's earnings is less than yesterday's earnings.

Similarly, they can also "consciously" select "last 31 days".

This feature is nice provided that the estimates will not be reduced!!. Example at 1pm, you checked your stats and estimates for 3 clicks = $1.00. Then when the actual data updates, your actual earnings = 3 clicks = $0.89. Then you will start complaining that Bodis cheats money, takes away ppl's money etc.

I think that this would probably be the best of the various possibilities. I'd vote for it!

I agree. I didn't read denrou's thread correctly where he mentions "An *Estimate each hour would be nice also." But it would be nice as a real time feature if it's at all possible. Still I'm OK with the way it is. Only have to go there once a day to check the stats.

Real-time is good for some people. For me, I like batch processing like it is happening now. Daily Updates. Because if it is real-time, I won't be able to stop myself from login to Bodis every 15 minutes to check my stats at the expense of my other work. ;)

Same with me. I also can't resist the tempation of going frequently to see the stats. By next year I'm sure I won't be like that. Like I said I'm OK with going just once a day!

another vote here for defaulting to current month's stats, but i don't think "estimates" are a very good idea since they will just cause more confusion.
