Need to reg 1k+ domain names

Hey all,

For an internet marketing project of mine, I have to register about 1000+ domains.

- Domain names should be somewhat related to attractive women/sexy pictures or be generic (5L, fun names, whatever).
- The project will not harm the domains (ie blacklist them anywhere).
- All domain names will get indexed in Google.
- I need them only for a few days. They will receive 10-30k UV during that time.
- .info domains would harm my project a little bit (5-10% less money or something).

I was hoping to use this opportunity to make even more money here. Can somebody help me out please? :)

Buy 1k brandable 5-7L domains? Or just buy 1k .info domains and don't bother selling them?

Thanks a lot,
Danielle :)

If you actually want to make money you are better off buying quality domains on the secondary market than wasting money hand regging 1K+ domains.

Thanks for your response Brad :)

I'm afraid I don't have the time to find and buy 1K quality domains.
I would like to save money by hand regging the right kind of domains, which one would be best?

I should probably just reg .infos and throw them away? Or will I be able to sell 1k 5L (fe) domains for reg free or more?

Why do you need 1K+ names? I don't really understand.

I would do a little more research first before you buy anything.

Coming along and hand regging a bunch of domains, without much experience, in 2010 is unlikely to give you any return. You are more likely to lose what you put it.

I need that many to stay under someones radar.

Yeah, I get that. I don't want to make money with the domains themselves, I just don't want to lose too much.

How about this: What kind of return could a broker get me for 1k 5-7L brandable .coms? 10% (I lose 90% of total reg cost), 30%, 105%, only 3%?

"Domain tasting" or whatever it's called, doesn't exist anymore, does it?

Thanks, Danielle :)

dont do it, sounds like you have $ to waste if considering "throw away 1,000 .infos"

seems like a worse idea than my boy Toni's -.kg domain

Go with fewer better domains for the same money. Hand regging 1K+ domains at one time is a really bad idea.

I can't go with fewer domains.. :/ It has to be 1k, the project requires that. Now would should I do in that case? :o

Just how large is your budget?

Because I assure you, a 5L brandable domain will not come cheap at all, and if you are buying 1000 of them then I am begging you, stop this madness...for the love of God!

Actually, I have always wanted to watch someone throw their entire life savings down the toilet, go for it :D

Well put it this way, if you have to reg 1k domains like you say, 1k .com's would set you back around $7-8k were as 1k .info's would be around 1k. Its a hard choice and it depends on what you reg and how much time you have after to sell them again. Idd go with the .info's as a lot of the domains in .com you reg will be Junk. Even if you only sold half of them for half reg fee its only a $750 loss.

lol, you don't get it ;D The project requires 1k domains and will bring in $100k+ (not from domain sales!).

Should I spend $1k on 1k .infos or $7.5k on 1k .coms? And then throw away .infos or sell .coms for how much, $2k. $5k?

Edit: Ahh, didn't see Alex P's post before posting mine, thanks for the input :)

In that case go with the .com's and then sell as many as possible when your done with them.

Right, thanks, what kind of domains would you suggest? Take some time to find 1k keyword domains? Or just generate a list of more or less okish 5L domains and hope few of them will be $XXX+? :)

Thanks, Danielle

Why don't you hand reg 7k .info names, make $7k+ elsewhere and then throw them away?

Be careful, Danielle, especially if you need the domains just for a few days.

Just remember: Google automatically sandboxes new sites for at least five days, sometimes more, which means the Big Goog will not be indexing your sites immediately, so you would stand to lose a lot of money. Also, G typically does not index parked names at all.

Also, good "fun" 5L names won't be cheap.

Good marketing takes time and doesn't come cheap.

Just make sure that you're not being sucked into a scam (I'm NOT saying that you're scamming, but there is something "off" about this project. Just saying.)

Take care.

Well, .infos would hurt income from the main project :/

Thanks. But it's nothing like that, there is nothing "off" and I don't need them to be indexed in Google.

Only asking for domain advice, nvm that project ;o

.com will equally hurt. I don't think you understand as to how to monetize domain names. If you plan to deceive Google, then your information is out-dated. Your project will suffer in the long-run.

Thanks for your help Jawed :) But please forget about all that.

If you had to hand reg 1k .com domains that fit the following, what would you go for?

- Domain names should be somewhat related to attractive women/sexy pictures or be generic (5L, fun names, whatever).

Thank you all so much, Danielle!

Go to online synonym finding websites. Find all the keywords related to attractive women etc. Once you have enough keywords at hand:

-Go to a registrar website
-Check the availability of a name
-Register it

If you run out of words, you can add numbers like attractivewomen1, attractivewomen2 in order to complete the 1k count.

PS. During this process if some people try to give you sincere advice, never listen to them.
