so, after having dreamhost and being happy for almost 3 years, im starting to have issues with them shutting down my sites all of the sudden for BS reasons...

i need to be able to host unlimited domains... unlimited sql... decent amount of bandwidth

i DONT want any resellers unless they are with a company that is respected and has been around for awhile

i would prefer to be able to host with little, or no restrictions on content or types of sites...

input is appreciated! thanks!

Hostgator has a very good service for shared hosting plans, but here the thing is what do you consider a decent amount of bandwidth? If you have a very large site, or a site that uses a lot of cpu resources you will have to move to a dedicated server or a VPS.

I believe you shouldn't deal with large companies, as the problem you described happens all the time to different people. The solution could be found at the companies like Webhostgiant.com, which proposes large amount of space and banwidth for very cheap, they are not making problems.

You may get unmetered deal allowing to host unlim domains and MySQLs for about 10 dollars per month. I believe You might be interested in this.

Good luck.

I think that for big number of domain names needed to be hosted you'd better go for the reseller account (for own needs) or semidedicated. I personally think that VPS would be a deal for you.

you may try softlayer or layeredtech by owning your own dedicated server.

It's not really large companies that are the issue, but rather companies that offer large resources and customers think that they can really use that much space and bandwidth. It's the hosting game of overselling, and people are finding why it's so much of a pain.

Better go for a VPS if you need more resources.

I'd advise you to start from the companies that have long hosting experience and provide their services on a high level. I'm talking about such companies as Site5.com, ServerPoint.com and Downtownhost.com. Taking into consideration the wide range of their services, anyone can make a right choice.

I have to vouch for softlayer as well. Downtime is borderline non-existent which is something I value very highly. A lot of hosting companies claim to have 99%+ uptime (usually with some very disturbing fine print) but Softlayer is the only one I've ever used which actually has real 99%+ uptime (that's 99%+ uptime without a star or any exclusions). I've leased 2 different servers since I started hosting with them in February -- both installed and ready to use within 2 hours of ordering which is pretty amazing for such a large company. Their support ticket system is second to none -- pay $3 for a ticket and you'll get a response within an hour, often within 15 minutes.

Namepros is hosted at Softlayer -- that was reason enough for me to give them a try and I'm sure glad I did! :)

So if you want to get to know about other reliable hosting company, you may check out Ahosting.biz. I`ve noticed that they use secure and reliable Data Centers located in Orlando and Charlotte. And if you feel you need their help deciding on a package, don't hesitate to contact them, as their highly trained experts will assist you in making the right choice.

That is the best review here.

The VPS is good to start and dedicated for continuing. I recommend you check out
