I'm currently bidding on a 4 letter .com which is the acronym for a $1.1 billion dollar company. This .com is also a 2 premium, pronouncable and I've already got the .net version as well. Currently I'm the high bidder, but there is an hour to go till the auction ends. I'm comfortable with going a bit higher if I have to, I guess I'm just wondering if I'm doing the right thing...This is the first time I've ever gone after anything on auction, all my other domains to this point have been hand regs. and I guess I'm just a bit nervous!

Sure, depending on how much you are actually bidding, an LLLL.com like that should be getting type-in traffic.

I would suggest to stick to the auction.
