Quick reply needed: any registrar or reseller who'll accept
a domain name & WON'T shut it down just because of a
spam complaint?

Even if so, they'll ask proof from the registrant or a
satisfactory answer before pulling the plug.

You get the drift. A friend's in need of help since GD told
him to transfer...all because of a spam complaint from
someone who turned out to be in my friend's mailing list.

Of course, as much as possible, at lower than industry
average prices. :D

I don't think one person can get the whole site shutdown.... I think had to be multiple people

Slight correction: my friend has a "personal battle" with
spamhaus.org. They've gone to GoDaddy where Kiosk has
their domain names registered and have threatened GoDaddy.

I thought initially it was because someone complained to GD.
But even so, you get the idea.

Initially, GoDaddy suspended the Kiosk domain name. They've
relented for a few days, but have told my friend he must
change registrars.

Godaddy is known for their questionable censoring practices; try Enom as others suggested & also Stargate.com - best with a bulk account.

It is an understandable stance. No host wants to find that ip's in theitr range have been banned due to spam complaints. For spamhuas to have taken it up there must have been several complaints.

But getting back to the question in hand no I don't know any. Most small companies would check spam lists and the big ones would do the same as godaddy have done.
