Hi, I have a fairly new forum. yesterday it topped a massive 4k views

now does analytics display uv or visitors all round?

if its in unique visitors yesterday was 800+ unique visitors.

Now what type of advertising could I use?

I dont know if I should use adsence as I dont have complete control over what the users post. Also I allow users to use the youtube code to display youtube videos which arnt always 100% legal.

Would I get just a warning if I put google ads on my forum if they deem the forum to be inapropriate? (spelling?)

what are my options. from 4k views a day I would bring in 120,000 views a month.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I target 12-20 year olds. (the younger crowd)

You can set your zones to "clean ads" out of gamling, adult ... etc

Try to offer diffrent banner sizes ( banners prefered than txt ads ) , banners zone already can show txt ads ..

Offer all possible options in your zones like ( inline ads, interstitials ads )

try to wait a while before you decide negatively on AdBrite , because i think AdSense with your forum case will block it later..

I tried to block all adult ads and I was left with 2 advertisers. after I blocked all the advertisers no ads would show.

Also I would prefer banner ads over text ads as they have a higher CTR.

Clicksor ads seemed to bring in aprox 30c a day. clicksor has approved the content of my website and allowed ads to be shown on it.

I will try the inline ads and popunder ads (I made it display every 12 minutes so it doesnt anoy the user as much :P)

Clicksor 468x60 banner ads with inline and popunder ads every 12 minutes setup ill see how this does. Personally I find clicksor ads alot better than adbrite.

the reason you aren't getting targetted text ads from adbrite is because they are just run-of-network ads, which are usually irrelevant to site content. with that many daily/monthly impressions you should apply to one of the cpm banner programs like valueclickmedia, burstmedia, etc. i would try to eliminate popups altogether if it you see it hindering your hits/pageviews.

valueclickmedia = minimum 2000 uniques a day needed (have applied but doubt I will get in)
burstmedia = do not accept forums (already tried to apply)

do you know of anyother good CPM programs?

try rightmedia, casalemedia, tribalfusion... haven't tried any of them yet, and some probably have high requirements too. apply anyway though, seeing as only the big fish out there are still surviving with a cpm system.
