Just received this letter how would you answer it. I find it odd I would not just get an offer via my parked page at sedo. I would never sell the name for such a low offer

Dear Mr. xxx,

I am contacting you in regards to the domain name xxxxx. I currently have a client interested in obtaining the name, and as such would like to extend an offer of $xxxx on his behalf. If you have any interest in a sale, please let me know. Thank you for your time.

Kind Regards,

xxxxx

Im guessing its because they used the broker, instead of making a direct offer. I would respond back with your asking price, plane and simple. However, if a broker is being used, its either because the buyer doenst want you to know who they are (big bucks) or simply dont know how to proceed when acquiring a domain name.

I would definetly recommend countering with your asking price, and it sounds like theirs a chance you just may get it. Congrats!

Get offer is always a happy thing :) No matter from the broker or the buyer directly. So should no difference in reply as to a buyer.

Good luck!

Respond with your asking price - if they are spending money on a broker then they think the domain name is worth a sizable chunk (As opposed to those phonecalls from whois contact info where the would-be-buyer thinks he's making your day with a $50 offer... grrr... ;) ) as the broker service is not free.
