Why don't you post the questions here and then it can be answered?

I have been on NamePros for around a year and have acquired a lot of knowledge, but I have yet to sell a domain. I do not consider myself a n00b since I keep up to date with events and news, as well as knowing what is a good and bad domain. However I have little experience with the actual sales of domains. I'd be glad to answer some questions if it helps out your ebook :)

I started domaining in February of this year, I consider myself a newbie so I hope you don't mind if I answer your questions.

1. What is the biggest challenge you faced joining the domain industry?
Finding the money to buy all the worthless names I bought at first (All newbies do it...we register horrid names)

2. What did you find the easiest to understand?
Premium names, why certain ones are worth more as in one word nouns that are consumer products.

3. How often do you spend a week with domain names?
Every day, I spend most of my free time thinking of domains, searching for domains and reading about domaining.

4. Have you sold any domains yet? If so for how much and did you make profit?
Yes I have sold one 3 character .net on Sedo for $400 and various others for $XX - $XXX on forums and yes I have made a profit on all sales.

5. What are you confused about still?
The redemption, expiring etc time periods.

6. Would an eBook on all of this help you? Would you buy one or want it free?
Not sure, I have seen a lot of Ebooks out there and they are mostly on how to make money in an instant and how you can be a millionaire overnight so I don't pay much attention to them. Good luck with your venture though.

7. Did you register names or buy them from other users?
Both! I like to search names at the registrar and I sometimes find gems. I like to see what others are selling on the forums and buy the names I really like that they no longer want.

8. If you registered where at and why? (It not this does not apply)
I register at Godaddy, they've been really good to me, quick customer support.

9. Do you think that it is fun selling domains?
Yes I love domaining, buying AND selling, I love words! I find it thrilling. :)

10. What programs do you use regarding domains (such as Overture, URLtrends, ect)?
I use Overture, google, Sedo to research names.

10. Do you understand expired domains?
Oh I understand how they can expire but I have problems with the whole process and the time limits as I mentioned above.

11. Why did you get into the domain industry?
Many reasons:
~I love computers, I am a computer nut
~I am a webmaster so I like to collect them to maybe develope later
~I love words and I can be creative with them
~It's a bit like gambling in that you can make quite a profit though each new name isn't very expensive and it lasts a whole year
~I get a thrill when I find a name I like and register it :)
~I am obsessive compulsive
~I quit smoking in Jan. and this helps me get my mind off of it

Hope this helps....
:)

1. What is the biggest challenge you faced joining the domain industry?
The biggest challenge getting into it was finding the answers to the millions of questions I had. Hence, joining a forum definetly helped.

2. What did you find the easiest to understand?
The easiest thing to understand was that when you find a good domain, reg it right away, cause no doubt it'll be gone when you go back for it.

3. How often do you spend a week with domain names?
As often as I can!

4.A) Have you sold any domains yet?
No, unfortunately.

5. What are you confused about still?
How to sell to an end user.

6. Would an eBook on all of this help you? Would you buy one or want it free?
I think an ebook would have helped in the beggining, and if it was a buck, I would have bought it.

7. Did you register names or buy them from other users?
All my domains are regged by me.

8. If you registered where at and why?
I have regged at several different registrars, mainly for the lowest cost.

9. Do you think that it is fun selling domains?
I don't think of selling them as fun, hoping to make that a business. Searching for and buying them is fun.

10. What programs do you use regarding domains (such as Overture, URLtrends, ect)?
I use several different things, none of which are mine.
prchecker
who owned domain before me
dollar value checker
(I have most of them listed on my other site so I can use them from there)

10. Do you understand expired domains?
Nope, and no interest in expired domains unless I can reg them myself.

11. Why did you get into the domain industry?
I got into domaining to create my own site regarding a health issue.
After doing some research on that, I was hooked....And here I am!
About 80 domains later :bah:

Hi everyone,

If anyone wants to do the questionaire please PM me or post the answers here. I have the rough draft of the eBook finished it is 24 pages long.. pretty big I thought but normal size of them. If anyone wants to read it please PM me I need help with ideas, feedback, proofreading and all of that good stuff. I can give you some rep/NP$ in return if you wish. If you are new to the industry this would be 10x more helpful since the average user will find this part of the eBook not very helpful in my opinion.

NP$ are the points system here you can use them in the NP$ Store and earn them for doing various tasks in the NameBucks (NP$) Sales & Auctions. You can sell them in the store so yes they are in a way like money.
