Hello drpm,
To me, much of your reasoning on this will depend on your intent, the letter quality and how long you indend to hold these names.
As far as domain investments go, rarely has anyone regretted being in the LLL marketplace. The minimum reseller price right now for an LLL.com combo is just over $3k (which assumes the absolute worst letter combos).
If you have a few months to a few years to work with, I think you'll do very well with these purchases. If your intent is to buy and quickly flip them, then it will take quickly finding an interested party who will pay more than you did or finding an end user to do the same.
Ponder the letter quality of the combos you are considering.
Ponder how long you will be holding these domains.
Ponder what the end-user potential might be for these domains.
Ponder how you might benefit from these domains while you own them (ex. parking revenue).
If you do these things and have a good feeling about it, that might just be a great buy signal.
Good luck with your discernment. For what it is worth, I've never lost money on any LLL domain I've ever owned...and many more can share the same words.
I hope this is helpful,
zesty
