you'll have to forgive me for me for not being to bright , but with namewinner , if a domain name drops and they grab it , is it auctioned of to the people who ordered it be grabbed ?

After you have successfully bid and won on a few names you can email them and request that your bid limit be raised. Mine is currently 1,000.

I have also noticed that, even though on their site it says you won , it does not necessarily mean that they got the domain. All it means is that you have the highest bid, so if they do manage to grab the domain you will get it. If another snap service grabbed the domain first you will not receive any notice that the domain was not registered for you.

Check the Whois record to see if it has been registered by someone else.

It is a matter of just waiting.

Good luck when you want to transfer the domain away. NameWinner will not intervene on your behalf if you're in a battle with one of their registrars from hell.
