Hi all,
Was wondering if there is any stats avalable on the growth on namepros since it started?

I can see a big growth since I joined the site, but was wondering if there are any stats for lets say every 6 months and see the growth over the time namepros has been up and running?

Keep up the good work everyone.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Alexa.com might give you a rough idea :) Not sure about exact figures... probably for RJs eyes only i would imagine

If you hover over your username (or someone else's), you'll see a hyperlink displayed at the bottom of the window as follows: http://www.namepros.com/member.php?u=28875 in your case. The u= value is the member number you are. If you could find people who registered on Namepros every 6 months, this would give you a rough idea.

Here goes:

-RJ- has u=6 and a join date of February 7, 2002.
Chris has u=1645 and joined August 10, 2003.
Cyberian has u=6671 and joined April 18, 2004.
Reece has u=10274 and joined September 21, 2004.
Gene has u=13995 and joined February 27, 2005.
Etab has u=26639 and joined January 24, 2006.
knivesforapro has u=50965 and joined February 24, 2007.
...

You could fill in as many data points as you want and obtain quite an accurate history of how Namepros progressed over the years! :)

Thanks Reece, didn't notice that before.

Namepros is also my favourite forum. I have 4 times more posts here than on other 5 domain forums alltogether.

Yes, it seems NP has really taken off in the last year or so. It's great to be a part of such a fine group of staff and members.

I think the vastness of NP also makes it a hot favorite.
From Domain discussions to Fun Contests to Auctions / Programming / Coding / Design Deals etc.
There's something for everybody :)
And there is a nice balance of freedom of expression and enforced rules. This is actually a great catalyst which makes members come back again and again, they feel free and safe yet in line with the rules!

Long Live Namepros! :hearts:

And yes, I agree about the nice balance. You don't exactly get banned here for disagreeing with a mod about the future of a certain extension :tu:

Namepros is expanding.

It will be much much more expanding if Namepros can set up major international languages domain sub-forums as many popular websites do to attract more and more visitors and members. This is not making jokes. This is making significance and super competitiveness for Namepros. It's very easy to set up such customized domain sub-forums, simply establishing for an example the Spanish Domain Forum, letting an experienced NP member who can speak Spanish and English both well moderate it, and starting other major international languages domain sub-forums on NP as well.

Please do not assume that many domainers in other parts of world and in other cultures can speak, read and write English. No! The fact is that in the world many domainers cannot use English to do domaining and business. Today, nearly 70% of the world population do not use English.

Kind considering and caring them---that is a larger part of domainers worldwide, in fact! Better introduce more those domainers to come to Namepros for buying, selling, and trading domain names!

Hope Namepros will grow more as a good marketplace for business customers, domainers and other parties, more as a professional domaining forum, and more popular with more members and their participations.

My sincere suggestion and best wishes to Namepros.

I must say this is one of the, if not the best forum period, the mods are reasonable unlike most forums. The members are all pretty friendly and helpful, it may not be the most active, but i would say it was the best. Id love for Namepros to grow and keep those traits but im afraid Growth may hurt that

Guys and gals!!

Glad I started this thread, some great comments and views on here, I have to agree this is the most friendly of domain sites and it has been a pleasure since day 1 for me.

We are currently getting 80-110 users daily and roughly 16,000 posts per week.
