This is not true. At this time you can only buy premium .tv at enom.tv and nowhere else. I know the owners of two names on the list above and both were purchased via enom.tv and I am sure the rest were as well.

Nice info,

Interesting to note England () .tv sold for $10k, it is a $5k reg fee, but i remember it being a $15k reg fee.
Its a nice $5k profit for a name regged on 13th September 2007.

are those the confirmed sales prices or just the prices they were listed at?

It looks like they are saying "Invest in Exclusive Premium .TV Domains

Unlike other Top Level Domains, where the best names are long gone or prohibitively expensive at auction, you can take your pick of thousands of short, memorable and brandable premium .TV domain names for as little as $100. NameJetโ„ข is an authorized reseller of eNom .TV Premium Domains."

Maybe this is something new because I have not heard of .tv premium resellers to date. Not to say that it has not started but it is surprising.

NameJet is owned by Enom.

They can make namejet say anything they want.

What is .TV?

A .TV web address works exactly like a .com or .net address, but has the added benefit of allowing you to brand yourself or your company using the most recognized two-letter symbol in the worldโ€”"TV".

A .TV name will make your website stand out from the crowd and tell your audience they are heading to a rich and entertaining destination.
.TV News
Viacom backed online broadcast network chooses .TV extension
With Academy Award-nominated director Spike Jonze (Adaptation, Being John Malkovich) as its creative director, www.vbs.tv will be broadcasting original content free of charge and 24 hours a day including domestic and international news, pop and underground culture coverage, and music.
Brightcove decides to migrate video portal to www.brightcove.tv while keeping its ".com" for corporate purposes.
www.carsondaly.TV breaks the million visitors and keeps growing!

Good points, as usual, Domain Goddess.

Smart choice of terminology on the part of NameJet or DM - Sold, rather than registered - hope that's reflected in the reporting. Wish News.TV was on that list, just to satisfy my curiosity.

Very good news, nonetheless!

These were registered awhile back and not through Namejet so this is a little weird to post it now. ENGLAND.tv was regged by BDM1 he did not buy it through NameJet neither did the Dallas.tv owner they negotiated the $30,000 down to $10,000

yes but- i guess i missed them- these are sales this year? these are not in dnjournal- so they were not reported- my silly point is- snoopy came in here saying there were few large tv sales, cuz he went by dnjournal- and there WERE, just not in there-

They were premium regs Dottie so DN Journal would not report those as a .tv sale.

I often wonder why .mobi premium auction sales get reported and not .TV, would be nice for Ron answer this. Maybe because .tv sales cannot be verified because the anonymity situations some buyers might want.

Very few people who have registered .tv domains have been able to sell them in the aftermarket because the registry has kept all of the profit potential in the domains for themselves. That being the case the extension has primarily appealed to developers who must build real businesses on the domains if they ever hope to recoup their investment. Nothing wrong with doing that but it's a completely different game than aftermarket sales.

But aren't these .mobi premiums currently being sold by the registry through Sedo?,so they are as much a new registration as these .tvs.

True Bob and Ron posted this long before .mobi. I will give him a call and find out if he thinks the same way and why .mobi is different.
