I got a notice/email today from RegFly to verify my contact info for ICANN purposes. Nothing unusual there. What is unusual is that I only have 8 names at RegFly....none were on the list.
The names on the list are names I reg'd and hold at NameCheap and a few that are here at NamePros.

Domain Names with Anniversary Dates between December 1 and December 31

Although none are at RegFly the email is signed...

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,

WDRP Compliance
Registerfly.com

Someone please tell me that Registerfly has not bought NameCheap....

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Ive you've had them at registerfly before, and either let them drop, transferred them, or sold them, then registerfly probably just has bad data. They are one of the worst for leaving names in their database that are no longer registered with them. I only have about 5 domains there now, but I'm still getting weekly renewal notices on dozens of the hundreds of domains I moved away from them months ago. That's just one one of the many reasons I quit using them as a primary registrar.

Is it possible the Registerfly-ICANN WHOIS mailer was sent to your email addy
that's used both by a domain name with them and another with Namecheap?
I've had that happen before with other registrars.

Submit a ticket to them: tell them the domain(s) had been moved to oher registrar, please remove them from your account.

The names were never at RegFly...that is why it was peculiar.....
They were reg'd and held at NC and NP their whole life.....

Gave up doing that 2 years ago.....they still have 40 names that I have transferred away more than a year ago in my "expired names"..hopeless

All 3 are resellers of Enom aren't they?

You could see why there was a mix-up in that case

Just an FYI....RegFly has not been a reseller for Enom for over a year now.
They are an accredited ICANN registrar.

I guess what made me nervous is that I have spent 2 years getting rid of RegisterFly and now they are sending me notices for names that have never been reg'd or resided with them.

I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't some "takeover/merger" news that I missed out on.

I believe their name says it all "fly" away from "register"
I was tempted to use them before years. I choose that time the reseller account of Tucows fortunately

There are still registerfly names with enom though. I found that a renewal at the last minute did not give RF enough time to transfer to them and did renew in their enom account instead of transferring.
