Namecheap Grace Period

Newbie? I think not; I'm just being stupid.
Anyway, what I was wondering was: Does namecheap have any type of grace period after your domain expires? And if there is such a period, do they charge extra when you try to renew the domain after it expires? Sorry if that was confusing. I tried searching it but I could come up with a solid enough answer.

Well, from your question I assume you mean right after the date of expiration. If that's the case, I believe Namecheap holds your name for about 29 days during which you can renew it if you want for the same price but I'm not positive on that. (This estimate is based off the fact that Namecheap is currently an Enom reseller.)

Namecheap.com allows you a grace period of 29 days from the date of expiration to renew the domain at the regular rate. After 29 days the domain goes into redemption and they place an addtional fee to renew it in that phase.
