They never include renewals in their promos, so once they get you in, you're paying top dollar for renewals each following year.

I understand what you're saying. And I agree, its a shame they don't do renewal codes.

However, I've saved over $150 transferring some .com's in - within a year if there is no renewal codes that bring pricing lower than or equal other registrars (eg. Name or GD) then I'll most likely transfer out.

Yes, its a hassle moving 100's of names around each year - but it probably takes no more than an hours worth of work in total and saves hundreds of dollars so works out ok for me.

Ah okay, now I understand why they are popular with some folks, that makes sense for just a year of transferring in/out.

Not worth that much work to me though, I get $7 renewals elsewhere.
