just bought a bunch of domains on name.com
and as soon as i put through my order i noticed a miss spelling on one
(I bought it with two extensions)
basically if i write to them nicely will they give me my money back

Probably. All major registrars currently implement a 4-5 day add/grace delete period and I believe are legally obliged to refund your purchase and drop your domain if you claim you mistyped it.
