My most wanted name is listed at Sedo

Spaceship Spaceship

I can't afford to take a a shot at Pottery.com :'( Over the past few years I tried to contact the owner by phone, email, snail mail & even through Sedo make an offer thingie with no response.

What y'all think it should fetch. Sedo appraised at a :imho: very high price.

Get another extension if it is avaliable. There is no way you are going to get it without paying a high price for it LOL :D

I think Sedo's appraisals are by natural revenue agenda, always on the high side.

The commission is higher for Sedo to be worth their while, the appraised feels happy, the domain market seems optimistic...

but the real buyers all run away :'(

I think Sedo should learn how to manage expectations of sellers.

I agree 100% with mole,The industry goes up and down like a stock market,Not necc daily,But more monthly.Trends change,Valuate the name from all perspectives.

Yes case in point is my .info names ,min SEDO allows is $60
unless it is a REALLY good .info no one is going to pay that
But a sell price of $20 with a $5 fee to SEDO
Would sell more and SEDO,Sellers and Buyers
would all benefit.
SEDO has this inflexible policy that would not be viable in any other industry

Hark ,I hope you get to acquire your Pottery Name

Yeh, right -- they ain't there.

Ok, I will put out a number. Sedo appraisal about 2 years ago was 40K. At that time I thought 5K would be over the top. What people don't know is (at least for my use--collecting/buying/selling art pottery) it is a small market. How long does it take to get even 5k back at under $0.10/click.

I'll be generous and say the 450 type ins/mo click = $45.00
70,000 searches -- gets 5,000 visits and 10% click rate = $50.00
$95/mo = $1140.00/yr or about 4.4 years.

It would have been much more fun to see it go through auction.
