Does anyone have any suggestions as to how best buy a $10,000+ name? The name is offered on SEDO with "Make Offer". The minimum bid accepted is $5,000.00. I have the guy's email address as I have tried to buy another domain name from him in the past.
Should I negotiate through SEDO, Bid Directly via phone or email, or Get a Domain Broker to try and buy? or a combination of SEDO and Bid directly at the end as needed.

Thanks for any suggestions.

how do you know it's worth $10K?

still, if you have the money and feel confident about it's value, then submit the minimum amount and see what happens.

Good Luck!

you could send inquiry via email first, just to ask is the name for sale and what asking price is.

maybe it will confirm, how firm, they are with the sedo price.

Why use SEDO if you can contact him directly? Unless you are trying to hide your identity to him, but even that you can do with a throw away email..

Give him a low starting offer and see what he counters with. Give yourself an upper limit as to how high you are willing to go and stick to it. If you can get it inside your limit great, if not move on to the next one..

You never know what his mindset was the day he listed it versus what it is today. Contact by email and make a low XXXX offer just so he knows you are serious.

Take it from there.

PS im assuming you did your homework and you are certain its even worth anything
