I got my first phone call from A Plus.net.. they asked if I needed help with anything... It was quite wierd.

1. I have nothing to do with APlus.net
2. I swear, on most registrations, I used a different phone number..

This was my first commerical phone call, related to the internet... :) Wonder how many more is to come :alien:

I had one of those a few weeks ago.

All my whois details use a phone that is never turned on, unfortunately it was turned on this time and they woke me up at 9AM.

Needless to say I was very pissed off, promptly hung up and went back to bed. The phone hasn't been turned on since. :)

I get about a couple a month maybe 2/3 to the home phone about 4/5 to my mobile each month.

Hehe i don't mind..it's fun to wind them up.

Although one was nice and told me how their database worked.

Heh, I once had a problem with a company. They called me 8 times in 2 months. Yelled at them, and they never called back :O

That reminds me... I worked in a shop for nearly 3 years. Answering the phones wasn't my main job but I had to do that as well.

There was up to 10 calls a day. I think only about one call a week was genuine and not a sales call. That was so annoying.
When I was working out my last month (due to redundancy) I never answered the phones once. I let 'em ring! :)

Ah, the bad memories... :hehe:

I had one and they were trying to get me to switch to a different isp. Im 15, not sure where they got there information its not in my name or anything. I love winding them up, I give them exactly one minute to argue there case of why I should move or I hang up :D

Uh, I got sick of getting phonecalls from one registrar [who I had next to no domains with] so I changed the phonenumber to a friends. I forgot to change the account names and it got a little hairy.

I got a call for webdesigns from this company in India. =O
Then today I got a letter from Network Solutions selling web hosting and offering a free domain. This is why people prefer private whois.

I sometimes get calls from A+, but after I yelled at them they stopped calling. It usually happened right after I regged a new domain, they must browse the new registrations and call people to try and sell them hosting.

But wierd thing is they called me about "www.edgemontforums.com" and it was already 2 months into development. She asked me "Is everything ok? Do you need hosting?" Well, if edgemontforums is currently up right now, I obviously have hosting. Retards.
