I'm currently selling an adult domain name that is also the keyword of the niches so it always get front page. Since I stop working it,I might as well sell it, I didn't think anyone would buy it until I got this message.

Hello!

I'm an official broker of an investor from Newcastle (UK). He is going to buy your domain name

My client has $467,000 budget for 20-25 domains. Please specify your asking price in the subject of your message.

Our company is in hosting business. We also provide brokerage services for investors.

I'm working with many domain investors. If you have other domains for sale please email me the list. I may offer your domains to my clients.

How can we send money to you? I think an escrow service is the most secure way for both parties.

I never done something like this before and not sure how much I should sell my domain name for :( $5000? What should I do in this situation? :o

if you reply with a price then you will be asked to get a paid appraisal after that the broker will vanish!!

You could find many such post here on NamePros

Just ignore and continue with your normal life.

I just received that message, as I'm new to the domain names industry... I replied with my price suggesting (Between $25,000 and $35,000 ) .

So he said in the next reply that the client (who is from UK BTW) has offered $32,000.

Actually, I didn't believe that... because no client can accept a suggestion like this without negociating first.

So, I copied a portion of his message, pasted it in google ...and eventually sumbled upon this thread.

Anyway, I can't pay any appraisal because my bank credit card is not international. I can only pay in Moroccan websites.

But I have a question, is there anyway to get my domain sold (with a trusted broker), as I think that my domain is very interesting and rare word??

Or, the lonely option is to use online domain marketplaces (where I can not promote my domains because I can't pay as I said).

Thanks for this thread and have a good night :))

BTW, this is my latest polite reply, I don't even know if he will read it :))

Dear David,

Thank you for your reply, But I think this is an advertising spam to let people appraise their domains (and pay the appraisal of course).

I already said in my previous message that I can't pay a cent online because my bank credit card is not international... Sorry, nothing personal I can't do the appraisal.

1. There's no guarantee that the client will buy from me if I do the appraisal.
2. There's no guarantee that there's even a client. (There's no client who can offer $32,000 in one day without negociation) .
3. I can't pay online.

Thank you so much for your interest, wish you the best of success.

I will look for another option to sell my domain names.

Also, I marked as a spam... nothing personal .

Have a nice day

I also got the same from [email protected] , I was surprised as I listed my domain for 200 dollar and he was offering me 20,000 $ for the domain. But he asked about the paid appraisal, I searched over the google and came to know that this is scam.
I am new to this and buisness is looking attractive, want to invest some funds in this business. Namepros helped me alot in learning more and more about this business.
