Hosting? (I'm clueless)

I have domain over at Whiz.in that I'd like to slightly develop.

But how?

On the Whiz.in website I clicked "buy web hosting" but it says the service is unavailable.

Is there another way of doing it? All I really want to do is make it so that the webpage shows a little bit of text, (like my email and things). I'm not wanting to have multiple pages or anything. Is there maybe a free way of doing this even?

The whole subject of hosting and DN servers really confuses me.

Thanks

well you can buy hosting from other providers and change your DNS from domain control panel

if you want to learn more check out

Okay thanks.

Do you have any recommendations on which provider to use?

I probably only need 10MB of space at the most.

if you really just want a very simple site, you could use a hosted service like http://pages.google.com ( free )

or if you want your own hosting, i can recommend http://www.apthost.com ( around $5 a month, and they've been very stable for me )

Hi, thanks. So if I created a page at google, how would I make it visible when someone visitted my .IN domain? Do I change the DN Server to MYPAGENAME.googlepages.com?

Or have I misunderstood completely.

Cheers

really sorry - i think i've completely put you wrong on this one. i thought googlepages let you use your own domain name, but it appears not ( googlemail does let you use your domain for email )

you can do this with blogger.com ( just make yourself a one page blog... )

110mb.com is supposed to be a very good free host - but i've not personally used them.

Site5Host.com here - very good.

Or you could use HostGator.com

WYSIWYG editor look at KompoZer

If that doesn't have an FTP uploader, get FileZilla.
