Hey everyone,

Received this email during the evening and was wondering whether it sounds legitimate. Thanks.

Hello!

I'm an official broker of a rich investor from Liverpool (UK). He is going to buy your countychina.com.

My client has $449,000 budget for 15-25 domains. Please specify your asking price in the subject of your message.

Our company is in hosting business. We also provide brokerage services for investors.

I'm working with many domain investors. If you have other domains for sale please email m ethe list. I may offer your domains to my clients.

How can we send money to you? I think an escrow service is the most secure way for both parties.

If it's your first time sale I can help you with the escrow/transfer process.

Best regards,

Aaron Sherman

My friend, as soon as you give them an asking price, they will answer with the need for an "appraisal" because they will tell your client needs to know what the "true value" of the domain is. And that is the "hook" with you on the line being required to pay for it. If you do, you will never hear from them again as they take your money.

Be careful, newbie.D-:

Preetycool, your question is not an unusual one here.
This is a well known scam.
It's good you checked before diving in.

100% appraisal scam.

Step 1: Give them your price of $50,000

Step 2: When they tell you they need an official appraisal for $300 from their preferred appraiser, tell them your car just broke down / you just lost your job / your cat is in the hospital and you're a little short this week, but if they'll send you $150 you'll be able to afford the independent appraisal.

Step 3: Profit

You won't get another mail from them. No step 3 in that plan :)
