I bought womenonfitness dot com and have had troubles selling it. I'm not sure if it's a good domain name anymore and would really appreciate it if you all could let me know.

Thank you so much.

It's not that it doesn't make sense... "Women on fitness" alludes to women sharing information or advice about fitness-related topics.

@leqari - The issue is that the focus is quite narrow, and the name isn't very strong. The term also doesn't appear to be used for promotional purposes by any potential buyers. The nature of the name basically limits your pool of buyers to only someone starting a blog/show dedicated to women discussing fitness. So you can see where the trouble in selling it comes in...

You're very unlikely to find a buyer via outbound marketing. I would put it up for a BIN in the low to mid XXX range on Afternic/Sedo and see if you luck into a buyer. I would not renew this one.

I see "on fitness" being perfectly valid as a trendy way to imply addiction (like in "on drugs", "on steroids"). However, if there is someone who likes this idea in general, why buy the domain from you, if there are alternatives GirlOnFitness, GirlsOnFitness, LadyOnFitness, LadiesOnFitness etc. all available for registration?

I see, now it all makes sense! This was the first domain I bought so hopefully I won't make this mistake again

The domain is worthless with much better three-word alternatives out there and available. I also note you have only held the domain for a month since registration. You need to lower your expectations even if you register a half-decent domain

Regardless of the value of your domain, if I go to it I dont see a "for sale" landing page. Always have your names land on something to show they are for sale. Putting them on Sedo or Afternic is not enough.

I don’t see any value in it. Don’t renew it. Put on the bin for $1xx and see if you get an luck on afternic or sedo

Great advice in this thread - always look for uniqueness and registration options that are similar, always think end users, make sure you have a lander active.

If you price it within the range of say a fitness instructor, local fitness service, writer, blogger, etc. I think that despite the other alternatives the name is logical and might sell. e.g. while girl/lady etc. alternatives mentioned above do make chances of sale lower, I think many would prefer women. You only need to find one who really wants that expression. I would price it something low to mid $$$ and make sure you get an active lander asap. RealWomenOnHealth sold for $116 a few years ago and AllOnFitness in .com sold for $280, sort of comparators.

Best wishes with your future in domain investing @leqari !

And how many domains you have in your portfolio? Only one? :)

totally agree!

and it makes you wonder, who is inflating the expectations, before they get here?

imo...
