Hello,

I was wondering if this name had any value. I personally love the name, but i was wondering if it had any value, and if it does, how much. Note that the domain is 11 years old.

It is not a typo. My brother also used to own wanker.com, but he let it drop cos people were trying to hack into his emails and steal the name.

Any value?

Robert

My apologies ;)

Wow, it's a great name. 1 word, well-known .com domain. Very brandable. I'd say mid-high $x,xxx, perhaps even low $xx,xxx.

Pity he let wanker.com drop. Would have been good.

Whois lists the owner of bollocks.com as living in St. Petersburg, Florida. So you live in the UK and your brother lives in Florida? You ask if it has any value? It is listed on sedo and has had 13 previous offers. Obviously, if it has had 13 previous offers it has some value. What level did the previous offers reach?

The previous offers he sold me were mid $xx, the highest being £50...

Yer, my brother owns 3 houses, one in las vegas, one in florida and one in washington DC.

If you check lower, it says Allen, Jules, and that is my bro. He asked him around 1 week ago what domains he owned, and he told me, jules.com, bollocks and a few others under NDA.

What happened was many years ago he moved to US, and then he married someone over there and then he could apply for US citizenship. He was successful, but that doesnt happen now.

Low $XX,XXX? lol

"Bollocks" is not a very well known word, and it only has 1248 OVT.

You're looking at High $XX to Low $XXX, just because its one word and its a .com.

What planet do you live on? 'Bollocks' appears in my daily vocabulary at least 100 times a day (that's only on a good day).

"Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols", ranks as one of musics most historical moments.

$XX to Low $XXX, - Come On, that's the most ridiculous appraisal I've ever seen, the domain has had 13 previous offers!!! and despite the 1248 OVT it shows traffic of 1,239 a month. Overture UK returns a higher figure too.

Low $xx,xxx is not out of the question.

However there is something very fishy about this thread, Robert, you claim the highest offer was 50 pounds - now that just cannot be true because the minimum bid at Sedo is well over that amount.

You have a strange vocabulary.

And SEDO's minimum offer is $60 I believe, and 50 pounds is more than that.

Bollocks is a popular British term for all you people who don't know any better. It's sort of like us over here saying Bullshit. And didn't the band the sex pistols make that word famous?

Exactly....I don't think the sex pistols were responsible for making it famous in the uk, its a very old word !

They probably made it more known worldwide though :)
