Recently after winning a domain from auction which appealed to me, i had problems with pool not taking my creditcard
it worked as i paid someone using it with paypal the same day and days after
well i emailed pool countless times over 5 if i am correct
called them 3 times with no answer ( it was in their working hours ) and got no answer from email and the ohone kept ringing and ringng untill i got bored and hung up
later in the week i found out via a phonecall with a friend of mine that he emailed pool pretending to be a biz partner of mine and wanted to know why i hadnt gotten the domain yet
needless to say he got a reply within 24 hours with the reason
my creditcard must be out of funds
In My opinion this is a breatch of my privacy

IMO if my "friend" was to email pool saying he was MY biz partner and I couldnt login please send the password they would of sent him it
anyway after close to a week of re-adding my creditcard details
it finally worked and i got an email from NameScout ( the registrar who caught the domain) with my username and password so i had access to the domain finally
but i was in such a "huff" as i got an average of 3 emails a day during that week or so saying if i dont update my creditcard details within 24 hours i will lose the domain which turned out to be a lie
still after that week of emailing and phoning i have no reply
which In my opinion is bad customer service
i know pool is located in canada maybe the last batch of maple syrup was bogus or they were stuck inside there igloos all day but thats still no excuse
i will be emailing pool with the url to the thread so hopefully they will reply on the forum or atleast via email
Pool is owning the drops right now but it doesnt make up for the customer service they DO NOT HAVE
this was first dealing with pool as far as domains go
although i emailed them 2 days vefore the auction ended about the HOTLIST and got a reply within the hour
Has anyone else had any bad dealing with pool?
Or are they all good for you?
Please post as i WANT a reply from pool

With Whom We May Share Information
When you acquire a backordered domain through us, we must disclose information about your domain name and your contact details with a partner registrar who will be registering the domain for you. Our partner registrars, in turn, are required to share such information with the domain registry. Our partner registrars also currently make certain information about you available to the general public via their domain name registration database look-up and directory services. These services give users access to such data on a query-by-query basis.
