I want to know everyone's number one method of finding end
users. I mean one powerful method that can be used by anyone.
I have a method that I have used since June 06, that has gotten
me more end users and traffic than I can shake a stick at. I want
to see if someone else uses this method. I will post after 4 or so posts.
'Just want to know who else has the brains out there.

NP and rep are required after I post this trick. If someone else
posts my tip before I do I will publicly hand over 20 domains to
him (my drops). But really you guys are gonna pinch yourselves
for not doing this. I usually dont reveal stuff that works so well for
me, but I will be rewarded in due time. :hehe:

Ronnie has spoken!

I am very interested and started looking recently about various methods. For sure, some nps will be on your way, if you reveal the method.

Thanks in advance,

You know I have been thinking about going after end-users but not really sure how to go about it. Please reveal your tried and true method :)

I am too new into this to say. Everything in stages...end users--thats my next step. Being passive isint enough it seems other then pitching potential endusers and creating a sense of urgency in which case a bidding war is always nice. Helpful hints--would be much appreciated. :xf.love:

Thats definately unfair guys. I requested others to post their
methods as a condition of me revealing my techniques. Not
to be the only one to contribute to this thread. The object
of this post is to enlighten everyone (including myself) on different
methods used. I dont care if it's as simple as email tips, carwraps,
local classfieds or what not. I want other contributions first.
Maybe I am being selfish or maybe I seemed a little braggadocious
in the opening, but general replies is a little weak.

Well... my tip is find a relevant forum and post the domain in your sig.... post a few times to get recognized on the forum and the announce that you are selling the domain.... it's worked a couple of times for me....

Ah yes. Thats a tried and true method. Works alot for recognition, at least traffic.
Try targeting work at home moms forums too. Good suggestion.

Number one consideration - ask yourself "who would and could use this domain?" then go out and find these end users. Tailor your approach to each party individually. Cut and paste approaches come across as such and even smell of spam to some.

That's my tip.

Well, I tend to conduct a very narrow targeted marketing.

Obviously, if I have a better TLD than the company's registered name (ex. I have xyzcompany.com and xyzcompany is registered under .org), I look up their 10k filing (assuming that it is a public company) and send letters (on my company letter head) to the CEO and boardmembers (batting 0 for 2).

I've toyed with an idea of riding someone else's coattails (ex. contacting marchex to see if I can sell my zip code domain names. (batting 0 for 1)

By far the most effective method is for my friends to be aware of what I am doing so that they can look out for any oppportunities for me (2 for 3).

I use DomainTools.com to find available .coms that are registered in the .net, .org, .info., and .us extensions. Then I email the owners with my available .com and that almost always guarantees a sale.

This method takes a lot of time but it usually pays off well :)

I learned this from a namepro member here, as a matter of fact I'm in negotiation with the owner of Lee my.info for a sale as we speak using this method and that exact website (domaintools.com).

The most effective method is to have a good domain. Then you dont have to worry. They will fill your inbox.

I get emails from guys like you all the time.
Just because I own the .net or .org does not mean I want the .com
I would have registered it myself, if I wanted it.
I consider this spam and delete them from my inbox.
I get snail mail from companies, too. Sorry about the negativity.

Alright chill...

i will...

The method I use is running a google adwords campaign with google using the keywords you desire to market to. It works almost 89% of the time. Reason being, you can pay as much as you want and still reap the results of pagerank and targeting end users. I use it also to boost traffic on stagnant domains. It 100x better than holding fort on the front page on Sedo listings (no offense sedo I love you) for only a brief view. I hope that was worth the anticipation.

It has a nice hit/miss ratio. Almost

Great idea. Isn't this against TOS for most parked domains though, or are you running your own adsense sites?

I've toyed around with a similar idea - using google adsense to build PR and traffic on a domain and then parking it afterwards. Nothing against the TOS in building up traffic to a site before you park it. Only reason I haven't done this yet is because I'm in more of a domain acquisition phase right now and not really doing any marketing other than listing at the usual places. Having a couple of "real" long established PR4/5 sites is nice for building PR on new sites too.
