Using Overture Tool before buying.
Hi,
I know there has been many threads about overture but could i ask some more questions please to experienced domainers.
I have been re-thinking how i buy my domains so now for my next lot of domains im making overture my main concern.
My Questions are:
What do you regard as Decent to High Overture - I dont mean for names selling at thousads of dollars, just enough type in traffic to make a few $ while parked before i work on development.
I have been looking around and found around 5 names with overture around 5,000 - 10,000 and 2 domains with overture of 100,000+.
ALl the domains i have found are on subjects i fell i could develop and are reasonably catchy.
My gut feeling is i should register the names with 100,000 overture as i havent seen many .com's available to reg with anywhere near that overture but id like some wisdom from experienced domainers before i spend any cash.
If anyone could share their past buys and how they look at overture before buying then id really appreciate it. I'm fairly new to this business and own around 15 names just now but would like more but im really trying to research before buying again so i get best value for money.
Has anyone bought a domain with lets say 5,000 overture or 10,000 overture...etc
Can you tell me what kind of type in traffic you got for names with this overture.
Thanks in advance for anyone to share their views, experience and wisdom. What i am really looking for here is the benefit of experienced domainers on what domains they have bought in past, why they bought them and if they proved to be a success.
I am not sure if i am looking at overture from the corrct angle or if im missing something so any advice on how others use overture would be great.
In my short time in the domains/websites business i have learnt so much from Namepros members who are always keen to share their wisdom and help newbies from making some errors through inexperience. I have never known any other forum where experienced Pro's in their field would spend so much time helping others, Thanks to all you guys who offer help & advice.
Through working on my main website which is a gambling site i spend lots of time on gambling forums and the difference in attitude is amazing compared to here. Experienced gamblers dont share their wisdom with the younger guys even though they know that some of the novice gamblers are losing lots of cash.
I personally am really glad on the great attitude in this forum, i am sure many other people like myself who arent experienced domainers really benefit from this too.
Thats enough of me typing away forever and a day, when i start typing i just cant stop!!
