Hi all,

Have actually already had a response from a potential buyer for $80 and it's hardly been a day since I regged this one. :)

What do you all think is a fair price for this GEO? $80 is still nice profit for little work but I wonder if I could potentially hold out for more.

Kind of bizarre that the buyer hadn't regged this themselves or maybe they just never bothered to check until I contacted them? It's a mystery..

Regards,
Dave

I have typically sold names like this in the low to mid $xxx range.

I feel that there is a few dollars on the table but it will be difficult to more than double offer.

I would hit them back at $150.

If it is a hand reg then push for $125 and call it a day.

****Some information that I am assuming when appraising this name:
They never regged name because they never thought about it until you presented your offer.
There are probably no more than 10 true endusers for this name (I didn't look)
An $80 offer tells me that they could take it or leave it.
If I was sending enduser letters for this name I would have priced it at $159 because I don't want to wait around (and renew) while waiting for the next offer.

I would counter with $450. Just because you registered it few days ago, doesn't mean that someone can lowball you and/or that you should accept each and every offer. Thats not how you should calculate in this biz.
I had more success with my recent hand regs and own snaps than expensive purchases in the past.

You can mention that your asking price is much lower than similar sales in the past, like MontanaLodging.com sold for $765 on namejet, MontanaLawyers.com Sold For $2000 on AfternicDLS, etc. and that such generic 2 word .coms are not sold for such prices which the potential buyer offered.

You can then think about accepting lower counter offers, such as $200 - $300, etc.
But you should at least try to get mid xxx

Many thanks for your input guys! I have countered with $250 and mentioned similar higher sales in the past and I also mentioned that this will give them a competitive advantage.

Now just awaiting their response. :)
