Moniker - How to transfer out?

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Sent Moniker a message 24 h ours ago via their site asking how to transfer out names but got no response yet. Does anyone know how to unlock & get the Authcode with their new site? I can't seem to see anywhere once logging in how to get it. I really don't like their new site design :(

After I login, I click on the name, scroll down and:

Authorization code
Authorization code - request authcode via email

You might have to check this box first - Advanced Settings

I unchecked it and the auth code went away. I checked it again, hit refresh and it was there again.

Did a few recently, no problems.

In your "my domains" list, click the little lock symbol to unlock.

To get code, click on the specific domain name, click "advanced settings" (in the gray bar above) and you should see a request authorization code via email box about 1/4 of the way down the page. Code should be sent immediately.

Moniker will send you a confirmation email regarding the transfer. They'll provide a link... but don't click on it. The link is to deny the transfer, but they're a registrar so they're trying to keep the domain registered with them, so the link is kind of trojan-horsed to look like the transfer authorization confirmation link. Just be sure to read the email to avoid trickeration.

make sure when the lock shows unlocked its really unlocked, you might end up wasting many weeks trying to transfer anything

I actually got a reply from Moniker now, but their instructions is the same as yours but it doesn't match my control panel.

Under "Transferlock" if I mouseover, it says "Click to Print", there is no lock icon there. And when I click on a domain then click "Advanced settings" there isn't any "Authorization code" section.

This is a screenshot of it: http://tinypic.com/r/16050eq/8

I've also sent them another email about this.

From your screenshot, it looks like mine when I login. Then I click the domain, then you'll see the auth code on the page, in the middle somewhere. Nevermind, read the rest of it.

No, there's nothing there after I click on any of the domains & select "Advanced settings". Nothing about getting an Auth code. Guess I'll just have to wait for Moniker to reply.

I have some .de names that do not show a lock or anything next to them. Are these .es and .ms domains ones that require trustee for the admin?

I had to get a transfer code for a few of my .de names before. In order to get the codes, I had to change the admin for the .de domain which required removal of the "trustee". Once I did that, the authorization code request area became visible to me and then I could request the code.

Yes, they are .es & .ms names, not sure if it needs trustee info. I looked at the admin details & it's says myself, nothing about a "trustee".

If you don't see the word trustee for your admin, then am guessing that is not the issue. Only Moniker knows. But you maybe should call. I have submitted tickets 3 months ago and still no reply.

I am not sure about the exp. date for your names. But I think I read that you cannot transfer the .es if it is 15 days before exp. They must be renewed first, then transferred. Another thought to consider.

Moniker is a f**king joke!! I still can't get things settled about this issue. Takes them about a week to reply after each email & that's with 2 emails sent after not getting a response for 4-5 days. They asked me a few questions to confirm my identity saying they would unlock & auth codes, which I replied back with, and 6 days later no response or auto codes!

It's an underhanded move IMO and any decent registrar should not use such tactics. Good warning. Their trickery worked on me once and only once.

Thanks for the information. Because I didn't know also.
Anyhow => Depending on the browser I use, I have to change the SIZE of WHAT IS SEE to ACTUALLY SEE EVERYTHING.
When I change to 90% (zoom out) sometimes it looks very much easier to work with the new moniker.

UPDATE:

Got a reply from them 6 days later but instead of unlocking my domains & giving me the Auth codes after I provided them all the relevant security info they asked for in the previous email, they sent the below email. Why the f**k can't they give me the Auth codes but instead send such a useless email??

Btw I got an automated email from their "system@....." email address a few hours after the previous email about a couple of domains which are about to expire soon requiring renewal & auto renewal will be processed shortly. Maybe they're waiting to earn a few more $$$ before giving the Auth codes....

Hello Mr,

Thank you for contacting Moniker Support.

We do apologize for the delay. We will have the codes available soon for you. Once we have them we will email them to you.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

Shane J

Yeah, that definitely applies to Moniker. Still no reply to my last email & I sent them another angry email now, always need to send 2 emails to get 1 response nearly a week later. Does anyone have the email address of someone direct there to email? Moniker Support has been a complete f**king joke.
