Monetizing big traffic for crappy keywords

I have a domain that got 2,000 uniques today, but made like $12 parked today. On approximately 120 clicks. It's a crappy paying keyword, unfortunately, food-related. Anyone have ANY suggestions on how to monetize this better? The traffic doesn't seem to care what it clicks on - it was on an unrelated category on Sedo and a very targeted one on fabulous and the click rate was about the same. This is lousy.... Is the domain itself food related? What are the visitors looking for when they visit your site?

My advice for situations like this is to determine what your visitors are seeking, then build a mini-website that includes content on the topic you want to target and either Google Adsense or Yahoo Publisher ads. That level of traffic and clicks could very well be earning you $50 to $100 a day.

you are getting a 6% ctr paying a average of a dime per click

i'm of the opinion that 6% is very, very good

and that a dime is good per click for the subject matter

i have several names parked but never considered parking names my thing

maybe it would be good to develop
