.mobi .mobi what is the real reg fee

I just pre-registered a few .mobi at dotster.........(like i will get them)...
As I read the registration fee I perceived it as 79.95 for two years...as is the minimum registration is two years and it will cost you 79.95 for the whole two years

Then I did a search here looking to see if anyone pre-registered any .mobi and mainly came up with threads about how the registration fee was 240...which would make sense if it was 79.95 a year(close enough) and u had to register for a two year minimum....From the statement on dotster ....

"You will not be billed for pre-landrush registration requests. You will be billed $79.95 for a two year landrush .mobi domain name only after we are able to successfully register that name for you on August 28th. 2006."

They make it sound as if 79.95 is for a 2 year registration during landrush...not 79.95 per year for a 2 year minimum.

Please tell me if I have missed something.....I have emailed dotster for clarification but i do not know how long it will take for a response.

I checked with them and it really is $79.95 for a two year landrush registration. The higher price you saw was for the sunrise registration.

Dotster is a really honest company... You can generally give them the benefit of the doubt.

Thank your for the quick response....just wanted to make sure.....79.95 for two years i am cool with(you never know what will be popular)........79.95 for a year i would pass on(will never be big enough quick enough to pay the bill)
