I'm starting the official Mixed Reality thread. With Microsoft and others pushing for this phrase some of us are hoping to benefit. This is where we discuss and show case our domains.

My domains:

MixedRealityTours
MixedRealityTravel
MixedRealityFitness
MixedRealitySchool
MixedRealityMath
MixedRealityPhysics
MixedRealityConstruction
MixedRealityAds
MixedRealityTennis
MixedRealityGolf
MixedRealityGym
MixedRealityDate
MixedRealityLove

Another thing.

I like the MR better in front of the keyword. But there are qualities for the MR at the end like NamePov told. For branding purposes it can make sense to place the MR at the end and to people with (Mr.) in the mind they can put it at the end to minimalise the confusion / better search result (in their mind).

Also.

A lot of MR+keyword domains are already regged years ago. This makes the possibilities for good quality handregs smaller. But when a enduser buys a MR+keyword and develop this into a big site and you have the keyword+MR you will get a lot of free traffic. This can also be a huge (cashcow) benefit but more down the road.

Agree, i think both will work.

MR+keyword is harder to find ofcourse, also in the aftermarkets.

I do prefer stuff like MRhaptics as MR+keyword and stuff like TrueMR for keyword+MR but i do believe plenty of possibilities will come for other types as well

I noticed in this thread that often domains like "keyword+MR" are mentioned. For me they make less sense or sound not as "good" as "MR+keyword".

Also I would say that "mixedreality" in a domain name is long, but can be good when the next keyword is not too long. Certainly the abbreviation MR in a domain name will be/is also good.

What do you guys think?

I think for brandable/company names, MR works better at the end. But for descriptive/keyword style names I'd say MR is better at the start.

It's generally the same for VR, AR etc, but there are always exceptions to the rule. You have to look at each name individually and decide which sounds right. Often the alternative version hasn't been registered for good reason.

Handregs in king:

ClubsMR

A good list of domain sales with the word clubs in it. Short name and because of the social aspect i think it is a good fit for mixed reality. Doing things together (wearable MR device and you can see and talk to others). Now i rethink about it, together with my groupsmr the clubsmr can be used for people searching: fight clubs mr, chat groups mr. A hack with the subdomains. fight.clubsmr or chat.groupsmr.

TrendsMR

Because over the next years there will be so much progress and development this can be a great name for a tech blog. Also a great name for a marketing company.

I have noticed myself regging a lot of "mainstream" domains lately. It's funny because for the last 10 years i have 99% of registrations / work and interest in adult and gambling domains only. But i like to spread the risks and value other markets to. Maybe because my membership on namepros... it has opend my eyes, there are more possibilities to earn money and not only with adult and gambling...

Another handreg in king:

TogetherMR

Can be used for a health related company. Can also be used for a dating site. Because of holograms people can be realtime in your room.

A bussy week:

15 Sep 2016 AsianMR
16 Sep 2016 ClothesMR
16 Sep 2016 ClothingMR
16 Sep 2016 DiscountMR
16 Sep 2016 RoomsMR
16 Sep 2016 WomanMR
16 Sep 2016 LoansMR
17 Sep 2016 MoveMR
18 Sep 2016 WomenMR
18 Sep 2016 SitesMR
18 Sep 2016 WebsitesMR
19 Sep 2016 InvestingMR
19 Sep 2016 GroupsMR
19 Sep 2016 BlogsMR
19 Sep 2016 BrandsMR
19 Sep 2016 ClubsMR
19 Sep 2016 TrendsMR
19 Sep 2016 TogetherMR

For less then โ‚ฌ200, a good investment i would say.

Added:

Property MR (.com)

Hopefully a good brandable domain for property viewing/real estate.

I think this could be a really useful tool in mixed reality as the below video demonstrates the potential of property viewings in MR:

Very nice name Mads :)

Should be a great sector. People could view numerous properties a day without potentially leaving their home.

Would be a very useful tool for people who wanted to buy property abroad.

@NamePov As @EmotiveDomains suggested, often I think the keyword+MR sounds/reads better as a Company-name, whereas MR+Keyword seem better as a product.

Trust me I would of took MR Property if I could have lol, reg'd since 1998

Like I mentioned before companies will get their desired keyword in any order they can if the alternative isn't available or out of their price range.

MilfVR.com just sold for over $8,000

I would have preferred VR Milf.com myself :)

I have in this type of genre:

Films MR (.com)
Movies MR (.com)

I cannot wait for the day when movies are a totally immersive experience and the story unfolds around you. Instead of just watching the movie, it may feel like you are in it :)

Again I would have loved to have the MR + Keyword of these but having only started mainstream domaining less than a year ago I had no hope.
