Someone has been approaching me in what I consider a low class manner about my domain Elmore..Ai, following no rhyme or rhythm like he's drunk or stoned, culminating in quote enquote "How much". I replied make me a fair offer. Then nada. I didn't give him a figure outright due to the changing marketplace. I was going to use his figure as a base. If it was too low reject it and give him a figure above that. When Geoff.Ai goes for $40,000, it's hard for me to use that as reprentative especially as my price was in the low 4 figures. What do I do? It doesn't help this person gives me bad vibes.

The first thing I'd do is hope your potential buyer isn't on np.

If he is I don't care. The guy's manner is crude and low class and other than his money if he even has any, I don't want to have anything to do with him. Yes there are people, surprise, surprise as Gomer Pyle would say, on Namepros I want nothing to do with and the feeling I'm sure is mutual.

Then it's highly unlikely that it was someone from this forum, lol.

Seriously, how hard is it for someone to give you an offer which you can either accept, reject or make a counteroffer? What part of make me a fair offer is so hard to understand for these people?

Hi

you’re acting like that person is the only inquiry you’ll ever get for that name.

if you believe in its worth then keep waiting for right buyer

imo…

If he really wanted the domain , he would have made you an offer to get it.
Calm down , if he is interested he’ll come back.
In case he doesn’t , that means it was just a waste of time from the beginning !

He who speaks first, looses.... That's an ago old analogy

They may be poking to see if you will provide a price lower than what they may have seen it listed for. Then leveraging that as an indication of how flexible you might be.

If they haven't seen a listing price, they may be fishing for your value thoughts, before they offer anything, as to not pay more than they need to for it.

They may also be testing to see if you are desperate to sell it, again, indicating that they could get it much cheaper than an original asking price.

It's more likely they are just kicking tires.

Hard to tell with the limited information about the negotiating process.

How hard was it for you to give him a price? Even if he gave you an offer, you still would need to respond with a price, so you should have it to begin with.

It is the only offer I ever got on that name yet Geoff.ai sells for $45,000! And I get "How much " after I politely say in clear English, "make me a fair offer". How are these people not homeless or in prison?

100% agree. I don't know about you but a majority of people i unfortunately deal with as a white middle class citizen are what I call timewasters. I'm not referring to domaining but life in general. TIMEWASTERS!

Cause right now I have a zero ballpark figure to refer to due to total inconsistency in pricing of similar names and I have trouble dealing with stupid people. I admit I can't deal with stupid people. Yes that is a weakness of mine. I'm not blaming anyone here but I have asked and all I get back is do the research! When Geoff.ai allegedly sells for $40,000 the best answer I can say is make me a fair answer and something that basic is too hard for this moron to understand. Yeah I realize if he did make a fair price, he'd still likely not complete the deal. Unfortunately you recognize timewasters after you reach 30. From the posts here it doesn't seem that many of you ho through bozos.

Yeah those are my basic thoughts as well. The thing Is at least make an effort to get that from me instead of 2 word replies every 4th day or so. Honestly if they made me a 5 figure offer I wouldn't post anything until the money was in the bank because I don't trust anyone I perceive as low class who make no effort like they're doing me a favor

No trust, conspiracies. Buyer probably cant deal with stupid people.
Couldnt imagine going to buy a car and guy sits there staring saying make an offer.
Do you not have it priced on afternic for $7500? Maybe they are to stupid to type url in browser?
Probably some bored domainer sick of your crap, yanking your chain.
Wanted to see if you would start another thread.
If it wasnt for the scammed scammer nexusforge you would win np.popcornMakerOfThe.month award
Maybe we need a popcorn maker of the year poll a long with registrar of year

So you priced it at $7,500 after you were asked how much it was going for?

You're not going to get a 5 figure offer if it's priced at 4 figures.

You might be able to sell it to Paul Elmore who owns ElmoreAI for a few hundred.

Other than that, I don't see huge potential for a 5 figure sale.

Lol I don't remember putting it on Afternic for $7,500. If I did it was before Geoff.ai allegedly sold for $40,000. Let's be honest not that it matters as Geoff.ai allegedly got $40,000 but if Geoff.ai had been put up for auction at Namepros before its alleged sale, beginning at $100, I doubt it would have sold for more than $300 on Namepros.

Well Eric Lyon does unless I misinterpreted his reply and I respect him more than you. No I'm not selling it for $500. I'll hold onto it forever at $149 till I give it away for chump change. Meanwhile you geniuses are bidding $500 or so for hulp.com or something like that- sorry I don't have internet service because of an outage and I can't check on the exact domain cause I'll be disconnected.
