REDMOND, Wash. - The digital network that includes msnbc.com on Tuesday announced the acquisition of the BreakingNews.com Web address, with the aim of creating a Web site to complement its @BreakingNews alert service on Twitter.

There was an article on msnbc on the sale but when they asked Steve Rosenberg, PV Media Group's CEO (the group that sold the domain to Microsoft) He declined to specify the amount of the sale.
