Hey all figured with the recent .io 6 figure sale and the nice .xyz sale by a follow NP member. We should open a showcase and discussion thread here.

Metaverse is a fast growing keyword, term and niche! Let's share and discuss our name and news.

I've only got One to start with but its a GOOD one my favorite ending keyword on most names.

MetaverseHub.com

Welcome! :)

Today almost zero traffic to my metaverse domains, very unusual even if it is Sunday. Someone experiencing the same?
Are they recently reg'd names?
If they are newly reg'd names then the first few weeks gets a lot of traffic because of bots and then it slows down.

No, I'm not talking about bot traffic

Relax, itโ€™s gonna be a busy week and busy weeks ahead of Meta/Metaverse ๐Ÿ”ฅ domain sales.

I hope so! I had a spike of traffic in the last week and today almost nothing

Hate to burst some bubbles here, but, if you are not using detailed analytics to see how long visitors are on your lander you have no clue if they're bots or not. If a visitor isn't in your page for at least a second or longer it's most likely a bot, statistically speaking. Experienced domainers and people who develop domains already know this.

Dan's and Epik's view count is completely useless in terms of seperating bot traffic. I get thousands of visits to my domains every month but only 3 to 25 visits a day have a length of a second or more.

It's a common misunderstanding so don't feel bad if you've been excited about your traffic having no idea that the majority or possibly all of your traffic is not organic.

Solution? Sign up to Google analytics and check it every now and then. It's free!

That's how I check traffic and I know pretty well how to monitor traffic.

Fun observation: when the same visitor comes to your lander spending 5 to 20 minutes there over and over it's a strong possibility that they will buy from my experience. That seems to happen with almost all of my sales.

You get a lot of people on here talking about how much traffic they get to their landers so I like to share this fun fact like once a year lol... You'd be surprised by how few people on here realize this stuff about traffic

But it is important to note that GA often reports human traffic as 100% bounce bot traffic. I have lookdd at a domain for 30 seconds with a browser but the GA report will shows its a bounce with no on page time.

That's true. But because you can't tell which is organic you have count on more reliable data.

I'm gonna be glad when this is over. I hate hype/trend domaining. So much money wasted on names that will never be sold.

How many people bought hundreds or thousands of cannabis domains and that hype has cooled off.

Just realize how this is kind of obvious and needless to say๐Ÿ˜„

If you don't visit any other page other than the one you landed on before leaving, then the bounce rate will remain at 100%

I love GA, I need to explore it more. I used to use more feature when I developed my domains but now I'm just using it see how many visitors I have and where they're at globally. When I first started domain investing I had almost zero traffic on undeveloped domains. So it could be a way to judge how much you are improving at selecting higher quality domains. One could argue though, that there isn't necessarily a connection. In quality though so maybe that's up for debate. Anyway, back to METAVERSE stuff...

Which doesnt help tell me humans from bots.

That's why bounce rate is not really a metric I consider on my landing pages. I prefer time on page, location, returning users etc
