Was wondering if anyone here would care to introduce themselves, and may tell us about your background and what got you into domaining.

My real name is Ryan and I reside in Southern California, and I have a pandemic flu preparedness forum as a hobby for the last decade, where I actually go by the name Albert, but that's another story. So needless to say I loved forums and have had my own for the last 10 years.

I stumbled on to namepros around 10 years ago when I first got into domaining, and then took a break for a few years. The .mobi boom, or lack thereof lol, took a lot out of me back then.

These days I'm a debt buyer and purchase delinquent receivables and own a collection agency as a profession.

Would love to here from others around here if anyone would care to introduce themselves.

Best to all,
Ryan

See you over on the appraisals quite a bit.. I'm Irish and live in Vietnam teaching English. Been here round 5 years. Big interest in web dev the last two years and working on my own sites hoping for a big launch some day.

Not much into domaining yet.. Following the standard advice of read around here for a couple of months first. Came to namepros after registering a domain I spotted while looking for one for myself on BB. That domain has since been accepted so not the worst start.

Just gonna take it slow. And be careful with my grammar here since I've said I'm an English teacher.

Thanks Michelle, lol. No worries on disclosing. That's great though that you're a nurse, and also residing in the UK. Love hearing those things about people and where they're located. On my forum, which I won't disclose on here, I have a specific forum room called "Member Introductions". I like it because it helps people to get to know each other.

Hello there bigbag - I see you around as well and thanks for the intro. Ya, you made a mistake on spilling the beans about being an English teacher. :D ... I'm kidding my friend.

Hi 1nitestand, thanks. Good to see you on this thread. I've also seen you may times around here.

Hello!

Ruben here. I live in the Azores, Portugal. I'm a public worker and also a Baptist Pastor. I'm married and have 2 kids.

I started domaining (or something similar :)) a year and a half ago and the main purpose is trying to make some extra money. Next year my oldest kid is going to college and if I could make a few extra bucks it would help a lot.

So far, I have around 300 domains and have been able to pay for all of my domain registrations (break even). I prefer to sell for a lower price than other domainers would advise or ask for, because I would rather avoid the renewal costs...

You can see my portfolio at my website (signature).

Best regards!

That's great Ruben, thanks. I like to sell cheap and fast as well. I'm a firm believer that GREED in this hobby of ours can be a costly mistake. It is in every area of life for that matter.

Hi Ryan.. Like you mentioned its great thread to know each other better.

I am Tushar.. I live in India.. work full time as Web Administrator (eCommerce Sites).

Part Time Domainer with 800+ domains in my folio.. I do not believe in holding domains for long (more than 2 years) unless I have plans to develop them.

Smallest Sale : Bought a Domain for $36 and sold for just $40 (2 words .com) after 3 hours.
Biggest Sale : Hand Reg 100 6N.com , sold 15 of them recently for $10k
