What a stupid comment. Something like 90% of China's citizens can't read or write and are so poverty stricken that they have to resort to selling their children.Domainace said:"...the great majority of Americans who need help"
That there is the big difference between the sides. I think the last thing people need is more "help" from the government.
I rarely hear Chinese asking for more help from their government, for example - maybe because they still remember what government help looks like.

Start with the Xia Dynasty in China in 2100 BC.Domainace said:It pays to learn about other countries, because it can help you decide about proposed directions your own country might take.

Ah, sorry. 85 million illiterates chinese. Not %. Maybe you only believe what you want to believe but if you don't think the selling of children is too often an occurance in rural china, you are very wrong.Domainace said:Wow. That's so far from any kind of truth I don't know where to start. It's also getting off topic, so I'll leave it to you to learn a bit of the world's most populous country. Even one news article will help a lot.
Always be very careful when using the word "stupid."

You already know the answer to the first question Dave. Hell no. However, I could see Shmuckabee choosing her, but not Romney.Dave in Carthage said:Do you think Ron Paul would have chosen Palin? Would Huckabee or Romney have chosen her?
KingDon said:I think Palin is the "Vanity" candidate. She's so prim and proper, goes to church and says exactly what they tell her to, she will destroy this country when McCain passes on, IMHO.
It's a fantasy, but an interesting question nonetheless. I'd choose McCain/Biden because statistically there is a fairly strong chance McCain will die before his first term is over. If that happened, Biden would be capable of picking up the pieces (and cleaning up the mess left behind).KingDon said:It will be an interesting ride the next few weeks. Here's an interesting question, who would you vote for on these two tickets.
Obama and Palin
or
McCain and Biden
