Would like to know your opinion on this choice.

Do you think it was a smart, wise, bold, stupid or don't give a damn choice?

Good strategy for the repubs. Its too bad that american politics have basically been reduced to sweeps week on television. Just one network trying to outdo each other without any though about what is actually good for the people.

Funny thing is, not one person posting here will change their mind about anything, lol.

The even funnier thing, is no matter who wins the election, not one thing in this country will really change either. Every four years it's the same deal, point out all the bad things that happened in the prior presidency, forget the good things, and promise everyone things will be better. I think the last president who REALLY made drastic changes for this country was FDR. But all in all, life in America is a blissful utopia compared to most of the world. And unless that changes, I am perfectly content with the president's not doing a damn thing.

I think John Mccain was smart, wise, and bold to choose Sarah Palin as his running mate.

The Dems themselves are telling Obama to quit referring to Sarah Palin. He is only drawing more attention to her, which they do not want!

I think it's quite funny so much attention focused on a VP. I think this alone is much more telling than anything in this election when you step back and look at it. It simply shows how wishy-washy some are, they'll follow the trends to get those votes.

I think McCain will dominate Obama in the debates, but I think Biden will fare pretty well against Palin. She seems fairly comfortable in the limelight, but she will be going up against a fellow who can handle tough situations easily. It will take more than a harsh retort to win a debate against him.

Still, I think she has been a refreshing change.

I would have -loved- to have seen Palin and Clinton duking it out in a debate for VP, that would have been a pay per view event, IMO. Neither one could play the female card against the other, they would have had to actually talk content.

I know! isn't it crazy??

It's one big soap opera, meanwhile there are important issues to debate. D-:

Biden vs Palin will be a good battle. Palin vs Clinton would have been a knockdown knockout battle! Clinton was good building up Obama. She's a talker. The Dem's, or Obama, blew it not getting her as a running mate. Can you imagine, two woman going for VP? Eventually, one would become President, in my opinion.

Yeah, that would have been a terrific debate to see. On the upside, we may still get the chance in either 4 or 8 years, only as a Presidential debate.

How much more proof do you want about McCain? Do you think his medals are fake?
If you want more than the media is telling you, you'll have to dig for it yourself.

Like I said, I'm not even a Republican. Using your own words, Obama is the same, a gimmick, just not pretty faced.
Let's stay on target here. Choosing Biden as a running mate was not a gimmick. He may not be an inspired choice, but he's no gimmick. Biden brings decades of experience to the table. He is strong in areas where Obama is weak. When a political fist-fight breaks out, Obama is restrained and cautious. Biden comes out swinging. Mark my words, he will devour Palin in the upcoming debate.

So, if you are a libertarian-leaning Republican, does that mean you are going to betray you party, and vote for Obama? That's why I don't choose a party, so I am not made to vote for someone just because my party does.
Don't worry about me. If I vote for a non-republican, I won't feel like I'm betraying anyone. I don't plan on voting for Obama, but I wouldn't vote for McCain if he was running against an old yellow dog. We can't afford a Bush clone in the White House for the next four years.

And if McCain would have chosen Mahatma Gandhi (if he were alive), liberals would say he was chosen just because he was not white.

No more than the repubs said the only reason obama got so much news coverage was because hes black...even though hes only half black.

So, if Tiger Woods were elected President before Obama, would he be the first black president or the first Asian president? :tri:

The Democrats are scrambling now like a bunch of roaches, who were just sprayed! Oops, can I say that?
I like Biden, but the problem is he's runiing with Obama! I never said he was a gimmick, just Obama. As far as devouring Palin, I doubt it. She will do just fine.
Hmmmm, if you aren't voting for Obama, or McCain, so all this talk is for????
Hey, I don't care who you vote for, and I'm sure you don't give a rat's ass who I vote for! May the best man, or woman win!

I am impressed that McCain picked Palin I do think it shows courage.
on the other hand IMO she really dont have the experience to debate Biden and far as her in a debate with Hillary Clinton the republicans certainly did not wanna go there, she is no where near being as successful as Hillary Clinton IMO ;)
Obama vs McCain in a deabte will almost be laughable because all Obama will do is reference Bush the entire debate!

But all in all it should be an interesting election.

That's the line the Republican/Neo-con media is feeding you. Oops, can I say that?

That's the problem - the best person may not win. The liar may win. This talk is for whoever will listen. Friends don't let friends vote drunk.

Exactly. Since McSame, on average, voted with his party (George W.) 82% of the time, it should be a walk in the park for Obama.
