May have just LOST 6 names to Registerfly

The RF nightmare is finally happening to me...

Had 6 names that were expiring in the last 2 weeks. One example is businesstrips.info (below) which expired on 23 Nov:

1) We've been trying to renew the name since 20/21st Nov and it wasnt possible to renew it. So we contacted support and finally on 29th Nov they replied that they're having a technical issue (see below). So we wait and continue to try and renew unsuccessfully.

2) Now that their tech issues are resolved:

- they have replied saying that "We were unable to renew the following domains in your account"

- when i check my account, the names are no longer there

- when i whois the name (example below), it seems to have been registered/renewed (by them?)

What do you all think i should do here?

- Is it my fault for not anticipating their technical problems and hence renewing the names much much earlier

- Or, do i have a chance of getting the names back?

I had over 6 names disapear and go into a whois privacy protection with a similar correspondence *before* they expired.
after repeated email and no replies, even though the names had not expired, they eventualy expired, remained in this ghost account and are still there.
They are simply unacpetbale as a registrar.

Ive had a similar problem with melborne (yahoo). My domain ws stuck on the what i call a blackhole for about 2 months.

I used it once and the registrar responded by voluntarily updating its whois record same day to reflect the info I was looking for.

It might not give you the remedy you are looking for, but it is a start. Maybe it will cause RegisterFly to do the right thing.

You probably havnen't lost them, but if you don't get them corrected in the next few days you'll have to pay registerfly an outrageous redemption fee to get them back. I lost two good names with them several months ago. Support was very little help and totally incompetent. In exchange for their poor help and loss of domains, I moved about 800 domains away from them. They are just no reliable enough for a large portfolio, and I'm not happy with their ethics.
