"We hate stuff like that" so please fill out a spam report because we're having a hell of a time detecting it algorithmically...

:)

(Whenever he makes a point of urging people to fill out spam reports for something, that's what it means. Think about it.)

Feeds have been on the radar for a long time - back to when Panda still had numbers.

Do they have a new video on translations? Only one I saw was from 2011 (and basically legit translations are OK, autotranslation they don't like because it can be lower quality... and it's automated.) But I can't imagine them knowing that unless it's REALLY obvious or the site gets hit by a manual review.)

proved that google was doing the update again, and until this moment I have not received information saying that there is a notice from Google officially associated with this update.

In regards to the video, at least it seems they are attempting to try to end those types of sites. It happens all too often but it seems like it's a never ending battle. But it is concerning that if Google is on the cutting edge on algorithm's and technology you would think that this would not happen as often as it does. At least they are aware of it and are trying to take action.

I refuse to "out" someone else's site. For all I know that site's (directly or indirectly) paying someone's bills or feeding their kids. Live and let live.

G. has the money and the resources - if they don't like something, let them figure it out.. I'm not doing their job for free. They're a profit-motivated business, not a charity.

Google is arguably the biggest scraper of them all (knowledge graph.)
