I am not sure if any of you are getting these but recently I have been getting only a daily basis about complaints against my LLLL dot com whois information.

Is this a scam to get LLLL dot names if the registrant can't proof that the information is correct?

If I don't provide documents within 15 days, the registrar will delete the domain name. I've dealt with this registrar for more than 4 years and never had this sort of requests before. Atleast not 5 within 4 days.

Anyone else getting this sort of requests from your registrar - or notification about a whois complaint?

Seems fishy to me. It is only about my LLLL dot coms.

Haven't had this issue either, do as said above. What registrar is it anyways? I have LLLL.coms spread across numerous registrars.

Thanks guys. I am a reseller at Resellerclub (DIRECTI). That is where I am facing this issue. I did send them an email and said, what is is going on. Haven't heard back from them yet.

I was just suspicious about this.

thanks for answering Shenron... i hope you have this solved
people, check all your whois information and keep it right; if you receive some complaints about it you know these thieves (scammers) are doing this

Mine so far are all with the same registrar. I have my information all right so there shouldn't be any problem resolving it - I sure hope so!

If anyone else have this sort of issue, please post it here. I feel like LLLL market is being targetted with Scams after Scam and then this.

Been getting lots of them through enom, and surprisingly enough, they're only targeting my llll's.

They won't be successful as long as your whois info is valid.

Not surprising -- LLLL.coms are being bought, sold, resold, ad infinitum... If I was a scammer, this is definitely the segment I'd be targetting.

Plenty of people buy domains off me and give me simply their Godaddy email, telling me that they'll fill in their own contact details later. I wonder how many forget and end up getting screwed by a scammer... With almost 457,000 of them out there and probably at least 2000-3000 trading hands each week, I'd imagine more than a few people forgot to update their contact info...

When I sale a name I always ask for all of the required fields. The buyer usually gives me the info and I push the names. Lately I've noticed some are more hesitant or give vauge info or just an email address. I go ahead and push the name, making stuff up for the required fields but I feel kind of like I am doing something wrong. It's that little red "required" astrick.. lol
