[email protected] asked me to transfer a domain to be sold. Is this legit? I don't want to be taken advantage of. (Yes, I sold a domain, but who is martin?) I have not received payment yet.

Can someone here confirm that this is an sedo official way?

thanks.

I have not received payment yet.

Not to worry, because the system works like this...

- Buyer makes payment to Sedo.

- Sedo informs you the payment was received.

- Sedo instructs you to unlock, accept transfer, or retrieve the Auth codes for the domain, depending on the extension.

- The domain is transferred to the buyer, and then you get paid.

As for the email itself, as long as it's coming directly from "Sedo.com", and you have a transaction you know is in progress, I think you are ok. There are several different reps that can contact you for completing a transaction, and I've seen Martin's name before.

I've dealt with him just 3 days ago.

You should be fine.

That should be fine.

For additional verification, you can check on sedo's website in My Sedo -> View transactions.

If you find it, it's perfect; no one attempted to spoof sedo's email address :)

thanks for your posts. I just sent him my 'security code'.

I am used to dealing with email address like support@domain or billing@domain, and
I was too suspicious to email some martin.
